So sad I missed the Fab debate, but at least I got the grant done I was working on....on a more informed level, you only have to look at the costs of palivizumab (including initial production) to see why making antibodies, let alone Fabs for what ever reason you would try, are costly and difficult therapeutics.

Palivizumab is an exceptionally good antibody (in that it binds very strongly and neutralizes) but it is having it's clinical usefulness called into question. I suppose i'll have to find the questions that sparked it all.
