same analysis on The Hunchback show it's actually pretty good. He can't get the girl. The scene where the gargoyles say he has the special something so he could get the girl is just cynical sarcasm, perpetrated upon himself by himself because the gargoyles are just in his mind.
The bad guy is motivated by lust. Prince swoops in and steals her, but needed Quazimodo's help.
which was beautifully animated, but had such a dorky story
THough I did like Bolt, but with Lasseter at the helm, that read more like a pixar movie.
From Hunchback the villain sang a song to Esmerelda in front of a fire, which had a nude chick in it, and the final line was "she will be mine or she will burn"
The problem with hollywood musicals (I studied these in college) is that the story stops and the songs expound on a moment in time. In Opera, the dramatic events happen during the song parts.
Hmmm... I'm starting to get to some of the really interesting stuff...
I think I'm going to have to jump into a few UI things before I go back to modeling stuff.
The next feature I'm going to work on is the crew's trust. If they aren't very trustworthy, they will steal stuff, especially expensive stuff, unless it is well protected.
I'm starting to get to some of the features that I've really been looking forward to putting together since I started the project.
