Of course every blood scene in films, TV and theater will be fake. Real blood would have many sanitary issues, some psychological concerns, and wouldn't be nearly as convenient as artificial alternatives.
But if you were to purposefully drop your suspension of disbelief, are there any explicit t...
At the end of the movie, Paul and Ginny are relieved that the sound at the door was merely a dog, and then Jason suddenly smashes through the window and grabs Ginny. The next scene shows Ginny the next morning being placed onto a stretcher. She calls out for Paul, who is nowhere to be seen. It...
Its been years since Ive seen this movie, but it came up in discussion but I couldn't remember the name. It takes place in a world where what you do in life is determined by birth, and most people are conceived in a lab and "created" for a specific purpose of the parents choosing. The main charac...
In S01E01 A Study in Pink, Sherlock discovers that the killer kept the victim's phone and decides to send a carefully crafted text message to it. He sends, "What happened at Lauriston Gardens? I must have blacked out". Along with an address and "please come".
Sherlock explains that the killer, a...
In My Cousin Vinny, Vinny calls the local sheriff, who has run a records check at Vinny's request. The sheriff testifies that two men resembling Billy and Stan were arrested a few days earlier in Georgia for driving a stolen Pontiac Tempest, a car very similar in appearance and color to Billy's B...
In the movie what I remember was in the beginning the parents are unloading a moving truck and a group of guys show up and kill the parents. The son and daughter inside the house as it happens. I think the son was lil on the crazy side he took razor blades and placed them in the window as one of ...
In some of the movies I have watched, there are some characters whose screen presence is less and has a minor role in the movie. But his role plays an important role in causing a twist in the movie.
Below are the instances:
Thief who steals iron in the movie Express Raja. In the beginning of ...

The 2017 movie Colossal was marketed to be a fun film with monsters and supernatural powers. Right from the music to the dialogues picked in the trailer read "funny monster movie".
Here's the trailer - Colossal Trailer
However the film was far from being a "funny monster movie"...
When I was younger, I saw a movie, but never caught the name of it. Unfortunately I don't recall too much.
I watched it no later than 1999, and I estimate it's origin to be from the 80's or 90's, and was most probably an American movie.
Below are a list of things I know with some certainty:
• I...
In My Cousin Vinny, Vinny calls the local sheriff, ask to run a records check & so he run the test at Vinny's request which leads to Billy & Stan release out of case. This is happened after when vinny find some clue in Vito's photos.
What exactly records does Vinny asking sheriff to check?
Questions are the lifeblood of any Stack Exchange site. But asking good questions can be difficult, and while most people start off doing it poorly, some never get better. For years now, when sites reached traffic levels that made manual review and filtering of questions burdensome for the good f...
@DhanrajKumar Closure isn't that important. Only votes are. And no one knows how many downvotes on how many posts it takes to a ban. It's a secret, automated process.
the worst part of Covenant is that it uses its connection to Prometheus primarily to shut down the possibility of exploring any of the interesting stuff Prometheus hinted at but failed to deliver on
I liked the ideas and world-building that Prometheus was going for but I did not like the final product because of the immersion-breaking stupidity of the characters and the plot not really delivering on any of those themes/ideas
I often see people complain about the characters being stupid, but with the sole exception of Vickers running in a straight line rather than just moving the side, I can't see why.
it reminded me of a standard problem with video game storytelling where the setting of the game is way, way more interesting than the actual plot/characters you're directly dealing with
the other big ones I remember are people running around on their own way too often or the guy with the super mapping technology getting lost in exactly the places he mapped earlier in the movie
oh, the other one would be when you see an unfamiliar alien snake thing in the black goo, you do not kneel down with your helmet off and put your face right up in front of it
I was a big fan of the show Big Bang Theory. Still am. But the thing is, it's not funny anymore. It used to be a great show of comedy. but now it's just another show with people just do ordinary stuff. nothing special about that.
In latest season, guys were divided. Leonard-Penny and Sheldon-Amy....
In Scooby Doo (2002), Scrappy-Doo wants Scooby-Doo's protoplasmic soul to complete final ritual take over the world.
And the leader needs to absorb a purely good soul to complete the
ritual.
Why Scooby-Doo's protoplasmic soul considered as pure?
Everybody loves the show "Friends". It has long running rumor that soon they'll be back with a new season (something like prison break did, but like a reunion).
Is this true? Is there any possibility that we will see them together again?
Was it part of the plot that she slummed on some things? Does this somehow foreshadow the scene where she is crying in her room in Paris?
Surely she could afford and pick any one of several local gourmet coffee shops in Manhattan. One that would give her personalized, concierge-type service. St...

There's a scene in Guardians of the Galaxy where Kraglin, Yondu's ravager friend played by Sean Gunn, is seen
But that doesn't make any sense to me, because
So where did he get it?
@Paulie_D here's my comment I've started using: "Welcome to Movies.SE! We have a minimum requirement for ID questions on this site. Do you remember when/where/how you watched this movie? What language was it in? Was it an American production, or from a different country? Was it real life or animated? Was it in color? We'll need answers to these questions to help us track down an answer to this question. If you have this information, please edit it into your question."
I'd vote for that....if It wasn't one of my better ones. Of course, i did have a 3-beer lunch...so there's that. Perhaps I should make it an answer? I need a few more point to get rep-capped today.
@BlueMoon93 Well, Nolan is like a sniper. He rarely shoots, but makes sure he doesn't miss. He doesn't have a lot of movies, but his movies turn out to be much more successful than a typical blockbuster. Not really surprising his movies are watchable
I am guilty of actually only watching 4 or 5 stars. There have been some amazing 2 and 3 star movies, rather some of my favorite movies, Eulogy, for example that was only given 2 or 3 stars. I keep feeling that choosing movies 4 stars and up will cause me to miss out on great movies. Perhaps kn...
I watched a few years ago a contemporary French TV movie ("telefilm", a movie broadcasted on TV only) set in current times (there is basic Internet, I would say 2000-2010 time-frame).
This is the story of a family living in Paris who have a maid from a foreign country (Africa, maybe, or SE Asia...
What is the name of that old animated cartoon that was about researchers of a lost civilization, most likely the Mayans, living in the jungle, including a mother and her son? In the theme song it had a sort of creature that was turning into a hill over time. There was a scene in which the little ...
