Older western movie. I can't remember how but somehow a man is responsible for another man's death. His punishment is to take care of the dead man's wife and family. Eventually they fall in love.
I need help trying to find a monster/alien from film or tv that traumatised me as a kid, so at least a couple of decades ago. I've scoured the web and found absolutely nothing. I'm hoping you can help.
All I remember was it was a creature that had multiple tentacles that grabbed people and pulle...
Recently I have heard that cartoon network India is going to restart Dragonball Z from the end of April in Toonami. I have seen the ads if Toonami but no ads on Dragonball Z. Can anyone tell me that is it really true?
The American guy was an old champion and now not working hard, he has a big belly, for training he runs after ice cream trucks etc. The irish guy is so cool, working so hard, helping children etc. And when the round starts the American guy knocks him out with the first punch. Anybody remember thi...
My friend just told me about this movie he saw long time back and the premise intrigued me.
There is a party hosted by a person on an island perhaps inside some hotel. There are lot of guests. The host starts killing guests one by one. And then, there is a girl who is not part of the party but i...
@Walt The traditional Haiku metre is a myth that's not really upheld in their Western adaptations anymore nowadays. The Japanese morae are far more regular and short than the English syllables. What amounts to exactly 17 morae in a Japanese Haiku would actually be ~10-13 syllables in English, but the truth is in Western lagnuages it's just not that strict as the good old 5-7-5 anymore. As long as it has ~<=17 syllables it fits quite well.
The content guidelines are much more important than any overly rigid (and mistranslated) structural requirements. If in doubt, ask the StackExchange. ;-)
@Walt Well, it's hard to say clearly and is probably not too restricted that much either. But roughly, it should probably contain concrete stuff, written in present tense. Less metaphorical, which doesn't mean it can't have an additional layer in its meaning, but it should not throw around too abstract concepts and ground itself rather in observational things...
...Likewise is it a good idea to combine two not directly related images, but also not directly combine them but rather let the reader combine them in his mind. A haiku seems more to be about what the reader can make of the text himself. (which is good, since it deosn't really allow much elaboration anyway ;-))
But of course I'm absolutely no expert either and probably by far not the most creative person at all. But that's the good thing with a haiku, it doesn't require that much effort to write three friggin' lines and I don't really care if they're literary masterpieces or not.
So in season one of Game of Thrones Ser Jorah Mormont tells Dany that "when Aegonn Targaryen conquered the six kindpgdoms he didn't do it because he had a right he did it because he could". This of course struck me as odd considering that there are seven kingdoms, later though it is conveyed, I t...
I was recently watching the newest Hunger Games movie. There was a scene when Katniss walked out of a bunker for hunting and she saw a deer that was not afraid of her.
What got me thinking, was that the deer was clearly not a real animal, but a rendered animation. Is it really cheaper to render ...
I saw it couple of months ago advertising the broadcast time in National Geographic channel but it could be an older series. In the advertisement we see people killing seals, whales, and lots of blood ..... That's as far as I remember.
This movies is bit old and released at least before 2003.

When Black Widow kissed Captain America in the shopping mall to avoid getting caught, Black Widow asked him if he still feels uncomfortable while Captain said: "It's not exactly the word I would use." What did he mean? Did he mean he has some old-fashioned way to say that he was uncomfortable?
Some time back, I saw the trailer for Jurassic World. And I liked it. It built the anticipation and curiosity. But then there was trailer-2 which revealed more scenes, more creatures. Then there was a super bowl TV spot, and finally there is a trailer 3. And now, a lot of anticipation and curiosi...
I am looking for the name of the indian music show where every episode a famous composer picks up a song from a region of India and a song that he/she re-composes with new music.
Say you are a Platinum Dunes producer and your partners and film makers are making a movie sequel. You announce that your partners will be filming later this month and writers have a script made and just a few actors for some of the characters. You're filming now and you receive a script written...
