After watching the pilot of Supergirl, it seemed strange to me that they seem to be going out of their way to not say "Superman" or "Clark Kent". In the opening sequence, Kara's narration says that her cousin Kal-El became known as "Superman", but in every single instance after that, he is only r...
Do you remember Billy Jack Haynes? I don't know how far he went in WWE, or it would have been WWF then, but he was a hero around these parts. We used to have Portland Wrestling in the late 80's and he was always the favorite. Him, Rip Oliver and the Assassin were the favorites.
They used to play Portland Wrestling late at night on Friday nights. I would watch it every week. Gus Van Sant will always put an homage to Portland in all of his movies. There was a Portland Wrestling thing in one of his movies. Argh! I wish that I could remember which one it was. They tried to bring it back about 15 years ago...it just wasn't the same.
At the climax of the movie Art School Confidential, Jerome, the disillusioned art student, takes the paintings of the old drunk Jimmy and enters them in an art show. They turn out to be gruesome collages made out of human remains that the undercover cop immediately recognizes as the work if the...
I can't remember the name of this TV movie. Does anyone remember it?
It starts out in the present time and a reporter or researcher is driving in his car near Los Angeles and is studying or measuring the effects of smog or something. It is very hot and he ends up falling asleep on the side of th...
I just remember two scenes.... One is, where the male lead applies a superglue in his palm and explains its power to the blonde girl i.e. the female lead.... And then , he grabs her hand with his glued palm, and they are stuck like that and travel everywhere throughout the movie.... Only in the l...

Ok, I think specific-scene should be done now. All questions that don't have plot-explanation yet should have it. You can check through them yourself if you haven't already. Otherwise I'd propose merging in the near future.
@NapoleonWilson WE will take care about his question later. I got some which i want to edit fro other reasons but rest is fine. Few are better suited for ending but we might even remove ending someday, so it's all fine.
@AnkitSharma I don't know. The HNQ algorithms is already pretty contagious, seeing how new users with their upvotes can keep questions in them for ages. If you also would consider edits bumping them back into HNQ, I'm not sure what would happen.
Maybe if they generally make the HNQs faster, like surviving 1-2 days at maximum maybe.
In the 2015 film Steve Jobs, a running story throughout the movie has Seth Rogen's character Steve Wozniak asking Steve Jobs to publicly thank the Apple II team for their work.
At the end of the film they have a full blown argument about this before the iMac launch, but the movie ends before we ...
I guess it wasn't really clear how overlap is handled at that time or the community wanted to find its own footing without relying on question that are on-topic eslewhere, too. I don't know, but it's nothing we really can do anything about now.

I can't remember what this show was called and it's driving me crazy. It was about a kidnapped girl, a politicians daughter, and the kidnappers were leading detectives (FBI I think- one male one female) through a series of creepy clues and taunting them. I remember on scene involved them digging ...
I'm almost certain I saw a trailer a while back.
Trailer details
Man is awake on a spaceship alone, he then awakes a female passenger because he couldn't bear the idea of being awake alone for x amount of years.
She calls him a coward etc
Cant remember much more than that. Looked like it woul...
In the book, Daario Naharis is described as such:
Daario keeps his beard cut in three prongs, all dyed blue. His eyes are blue and his curly hair is dyed blue. His mustachios are painted gold and he has a large, curving nose. He is lithe, smooth skinned, has a golden tooth and dresses in loud...
WTF? They just said that they're thinking of a female Bond...WUT? Hiddleston or Cavill were considered, but didn't make the cut...effing seriously!?!? This is just...ARGH!!!
There's no problem with a female Bond-like spy. But then don't fukcing call it James Bond and don't make it the official continuation of the Bond series!
I don't know...I was bummed when Craig was cast, but he was alright. He just didn't have the swagger that Bond should. Brosnan pulled that off flawlessly.
@steelerfan Because he's an awesome, under-rated actor who is as British as a cup of tea and looks the part. I buy Elba as a physical threat much more than I would Hiddleston.
Oh! Speaking of Hiddleston, I saw Only Lovers Left Alive. I liked it.
@steelerfan It seemed like the last film was just a really exhausting experience to make (and didn't really get universal acclaim either). So he seemed to be a little fed up with it for now. Which is why I hoped that it was just a temporary thing and he'd get himself talked back somehow.
@steelerfan That's exactly the point. Why can't they create a new cool spy franchise instead of tacking it on to something where it just doesn't belong.
@DrRDizzle They have added enough new stuff with the last reboot already. We don't really need to reinvent stuff every 10 years. I'm already worried they'll do a hard reboot with the new actor instead of keeping with the good old "we just prentd nothing changed" attitude of the classic films.
@DrRDizzle It's not. Trying to discuss gender away as irrelevant is a fallacy that ignores ages of cultural evolution. Neither is the total disapperance of gender identities a desirable cultural state.
@NapoleonWilson Of course they can. James Bond is white and English, but we all agree that Idris Elba would make a good Bond, or that Sean Connery did. Why is that an acceptable change, but gender isn't?
@steelerfan at some point hte WWE stopped doing women's wrestling matches and started doing stupid things like "bra and panties" matches and "evening gown" matches. it was pretty sad.
@KutuluMike I just remember watching an episode of that diva show and was just blown away on how gorgeous they were. I didn't see them wrestle, though.
Eva Marie - fitness model; Renee's not actually a wrestler, she's an announcer; Lana's a valet; Summer Rae was in the lingerie football league but is a terrible wrestler.
@KutuluMike Yeah, he did. That's why I think he's a punk. Also, he went on a guided hunting trip and gut shot a huge buck and was just going to leave it because he didn't want to pack it out.
@AnkitSharma You can't commit suicide in the rain?
@DrRDizzle But, Bond can't be a female. It would piss too many people off. I'm totally fine with them wanting to change a bit with Idris Elba. Bond just can't be female. Period.
As per the scriptures, one who commits suicide becomes a ghost:
udbandhanamṛtā ye ca viṣaśastrahatāśca ye
ātmopaghātino ye ca viṣūcyādihatāstathā [GP - 2.22.8]
Meaning
One who dies by hanging, also through poison and weapon, one who commits suicide and also dies by cholera etc. becom...
I watched a trailer of this one funny movie about a guy that gains superpowers with his hands and meets a girl with the same powers and they're after this one old dude, forgot the rest of the movie but can someone help me with the name of this movie trailer?
As a kid I remember this small cartoon movie about a helpless orphan kid. I believe it was released in the late 80's or early 90's. I remember my Dad saying it was based on book. I remember there being a nasty man or something like that.
This is really playing on my mind recently. Thanks in adv...
@AnkitSharma Oh, that's a shame. But a dedicated SO user like you would be a treasure for that site. I just wish you can continue your good works there as well.
