9:00 PM
Apparently, this is @steelerfan (if we accept that the first thing typed into google image matches her): howlatthemoon.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/steeler-fan.jpg

@NapoleonWilson NO!!! You're a spy, dammit!!! ;)

@Walt How would this site being more popular make you less mysterious?

Again. Disclaimer. That MAY NOT ACTUALLY BE HER :)

@NapoleonWilson And I'm wanted in 48 states! ...Wait, that's the real one :/

I apparently run marathons.

9:01 PM
@Catija Divulging my ID would be less important

@Catija: Great. Somebody needs to run them, they must be a pain to get organised.

@AndrewMartin Haha!! Dammit!! You guys saw me without my shirt on!!! ;)

@Walt Hmmm... I'd be more likely to reveal myself if I were on a less popular site :P Fewer people would know.
@AndrewMartin HA HA HA.

@steelerfan: I was looking for some more steelers fan pictures as a joke (to find some more large guys), but there's actually a fair few half naked female fans.
Shows how sports communities are divided - fat men and gorgeous women, apparently.
@Catija: My facebook is locked down and I'm not hugely concerned about the rest.

@AndrewMartin Ahem, I might tentatively admit I choked up just a tiny bit

9:03 PM
I think I have the attitude that I've been on so many social media sites that sod it, if people know me they know me.

@AndrewMartin Oh, I'm the same. You can't find me on FB unless you have a shared friend.

@AndrewMartin HAHA!! Well, Steelers actually have a huge female fan base and a lot of the female fans are pretty hot!

@Walt: Oh don't cry! It's just an image. He's not real.

I don't think I even come up in searches.

@AndrewMartin Well, I definitely didn't cry when the guy stopped drawing the deer

9:04 PM
This is what @Catija should be doing if she wants to reallY pay tribute to steelerfan - coedbc.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/…

...Resorting to Chandler quotes, I must be beat

@Walt: Ha!
Always a classic

@AndrewMartin Never!

@Catija: I was pretty chuffed that I found that

@AndrewMartin :D I saw a hospital in Pittsburgh was swaddling all their babies in Steelers blankets.

9:05 PM
@AndrewMartin Pfft, not a tat? What kind of fan is that?

@steelerfan Well, judging from (admittedly limited) personal experience alone...

@Catija THAT IS AWESOME!!!

I'm pretty sure that Napoleon has found me on IMDb... and I'd bet that you guys could, too... considering what I've posted about myself.

That's pretty cool.

9:07 PM
@NapoleonWilson awwww, right back at you, handsome :)

@Catija: Is this you: imdb.com/name/nm1285502

@Catija I did. But to be honest I already partly forgot your last name I think.

I liked you in Eagle Eye.

@AndrewMartin HAHA.

@Catija Isn't that just their current starting lineup?
<subbing for Richard. Someone has to!>

9:08 PM
@NapoleonWilson It's not my actual last name any more, anyway... it's from before I was married.

@Catija Oh, right, that marriage wasn't s long ago. I think it was some Linklater film I looked up, but that might have been a few years old.

By the way, saw a preview for the new Linklater film... have you seen it, @steelerfan

@Catija: I haven't even seen Boyhood yet. Terrible.

9:10 PM
@NapoleonWilson Well, I'm not changing my name for film stuff, anyway, so that will always be the same. My new last name is German, though.

@Catija is that the same one you sent me a link to about a month ago?

@steelerfan Maybe. I saw it at the theater recently. Everyone in Austin is really excited about it.

@Catija Right, I remember you mentioning it once.
@Catija So do you still work in casting parallel to your new job?

@AndrewMartin Wait a minute......are you actually Richard? ;)

@NapoleonWilson Not really, just keeping my options open ;)

9:12 PM
@steelerfan: :) Not at all. I just couldn't resist. Just this once. Besides, you've bashed my Patriot-love a few times now!!

@AndrewMartin Me neither. I have it laying around here, but never found the mood to engage it yet, though. But it's not as if I really had to see it anyway.

@steelerfan My money's on Richard being him, actually

@Catija Yeah, I am really excited about it!! I mean it's set in the 80's!!!
@AndrewMartin Haha! Feel free, I get bashed plenty in Mos and in the clubhouse ;)

@Walt: No! I'm just little old Andrew. See the grumpy face <--

@steelerfan It's going to be a lot of fun. The preview makes it look great.

9:14 PM
@Walt Haha! If he starts wearing a Bengals hat, I am going to start being suspicious........ ;)

Oh, and Gump is just dreadful, when you stop to think about it for a bit
...See what happens when I don't leave on time?! :O

Yeah, I see. ;-(

@Catija Yeah, I can't wait. I absolutely love Dazed and confused, so I am excited!!!

@NapoleonWilson I'll just go before I disparage everything you've ever liked! ;)

@Walt What? :'(

9:16 PM
Next you'll say you rooted for Johnny Lawrence from the Cobra Kai Dojo.

@NapoleonWilson I'm no Stinson

@NapoleonWilson OMG!!! You are so f***ing awesome!!!

@steelerfan Well, it's not Armageddon dreadful, but still
...See what you did?!
Anyway, I like you guys and that's all that matters :)
Fun chatting with you, bye for now

@Walt Gheez! Both of the movies that Napoleon and I have an emotional connection to ;)
@Walt Bye Walt :)

But I have no doubts quite a few "story snobs" hate that thing. Doesn't change the fact that it's one of the most amiable films ever.
@steelerfan Oh, I've admittedly not that big of an emotional connection to Armageddon. But it's definitely a fun movie for sure (even if Aerosmith can do way better than that).

9:20 PM
@NapoleonWilson Like how? I admit that there were a few things that I didn't understand, actually I think a few things because I was young and naive when I first saw it.
@NapoleonWilson I was talking about Gump for you and Armageddon for me :)

@steelerfan I don't know, ask them. But I think I heard some sentiments against it before, while thinking that noone can possibly not like that film. (Though, I'd agree the cross-state running thing was a bit too weird.)
@steelerfan I see.

@NapoleonWilson Well, my sister had to explain the scene in Jenny's dorm room at college. Yeah, the cross country thing was a little bizarre.

@steelerfan Ha, also one of the scenes I didn't get at first viewing. But well, we all grow up some day and rewatch films. I probably was like 10 when I first saw it, so yeah...

Q: Weird asian movie where girl gets killed by being hit in mouth by plank

iwatchtoomanystupidmoviesWe were talking with friend about these crazy asian horror movies and death scenes in them and i though i have seen many years ago a movie, where is this scene where woman/man (cant remember) pushes plank through bed right in the mouth of girl hiding under bed. If i remember correctly, scene cont...

@NapoleonWilson Haha! Well, you were 10, that's a good excuse! I was like 16 and still had to have it explained!!

9:30 PM
@steelerfan Well, it could be worse. You could have said "Ah right, I know that".

@NapoleonWilson Haha! Yeah, I could have played it off like that happens all the time ;) I just let my sister make fun of me! Hehehe :)

Q: Is Limitless 2011, commentary to people's brain regarding it's amazing abilities?

HarisI know that movie is fictional but I just can't get rid of the impression that Eddie could do many things natural way. His remembering all those thing when meeting the wife of the land lord is one good example. Can we achieve a lot when we just have the mindset?

@MovieReel Not a great question I'm afraid.

Which question? :'(

The Limitless one
Ah he deleted it
Question was:
I know that movie is fictional but I just can't get rid of the impression that Eddie could do many things natural way. His remembering all those thing when meeting the wife of the land lord is one good example. Can we achieve a lot when we just have the mindset?*
Answer: Yes. Yes we can.

9:42 PM
I know what the question was...

Oh of course, question is still viewable. Sorry, had a mind blank.

I'm confused......but, that's normal ;)

dazed and confused?

I guess so. I'm confused what is happening with the Limitless question.

@steelerfan: A bad question was posted. It is above (the Limitless question). It was deleted by the OP. I posted the question here, so Napoleon can read it.
?@steelerfan: But I forgot that as he, like me, is above 10,000 rep, we're allowed to view deleted posts.
@steelerfan: So all he has to do is click on the link and he can view it.
@steelerfan: Whereas I assume the post doesn't work for you.

9:49 PM
@AndrewMartin No, I am just at a measly 3k or something :(

@steelerfan: Boo :(

I just mainly hang around to socialize, I don't really contribute a lot to the site :)
Grrrrr......I get really annoyed when I volunteer my time and people are late!!

@AndrewMartin Not even that, it's readable in full right over your chat message, too. ;-)

@NapoleonWilson: True actually. I'm very slow tonight

@AndrewMartin No problem. The sarcasm from my message might just not have been obvious enough, which isn't necessarily to blame on you.

9:53 PM
@NapoleonWilson: Lets just play it safe and blame steelerfan

@AndrewMartin I won't. ;-(

@AndrewMartin Haha!! Sure, I will take the blame!! ;)
@NapoleonWilson awww :)))))
@NapoleonWilson Yeah!! That's what confused me!! Ugh.
Alright!! Getting really annoyed now!!! Grrrrr!!!!

Calm yourself now.
Think of Big Ben.
He wouldn't get flustered.

10:09 PM
@steelerfan Why? Your class doesn't show up?

@NapoleonWilson No!! And it's not like I get paid for this. I volunteer my time to do this.

@AndrewMartin Haha! Is that a haiku?

Remind me, did you like A Few Good Men or not?

10:12 PM
Oh, yeah!! I love that movie!

I wasn't sure, since you were one of those Cruise haters.

@AndrewMartin Nice haiku!! :)

To be fair, I'm way off a proper haiku
Far too long

@NapoleonWilson I'm not necessarily a hater. I just only like him in a few roles. I love his character in that movie :)

Calm down this second. Think of Ben Roethlisberger. He would not panic.

10:14 PM
@AndrewMartin Why? Not really.

There's a haiku for you
3 lines.
First and last have 5 syllables.
Middle has 7.

@AndrewMartin That's worse IMHO.

I agree :)

@AndrewMartin That rule is by far not as strict as people made you believe once ago.

WOOT!! But it's still a Steeler haiku!!

10:15 PM
It's not about strictness
It's like a limerick
It just is what it is
I don't think you have to stick to it
But ultimately, it's not really a haiku any more then

@AndrewMartin Why?

@NapoleonWilson: I suppose for the same reason Champagne made outside of *Champagne* isn't Champagne :)
Take a sonnet. A sonnet is a 14 line poem. If you write a 15 line poem, it's something else.
It's just the convention I suppose.

Granted, but in this case nothing that isn't Japanese can ever be a haiku. Still, to be called a haiku in another language, that 17 syllable rule is still utter crap. If in doubt, ask SE.
@AndrewMartin And that convention simply doesn't hold as strictly as people made you believe once. That's all.
But a sonnet with 15 lines is definitely not a sonnet.

Oh my. The haikus that I have written recently followed the 17 syllable rule :(

@steelerfan And it's not bad if they do. But if that limits your creativity, feel free to just disregard it (preferably to the shorter).

10:20 PM
That's true. The most famous haiku in Japanese doesn't remotely follow that 5-7-5 convention in English
But I just wouldn't call them haikus then, to be honest.

... yeah, but that's because Japanese is utterly different in structure to English :P

Back when I used to teach English, we would have taught 5-7-5 or not to use them - just use free structure, or some other type of rhythmic structure.

@NapoleonWilson Well, as you can probably tell by my haikus, I am really not that creative ;)

@AndrewMartin But by that attitude, you can't call any non-Japanese poem a haiku ever. That's a legitimate attitude, of course. But calling English 5-7-5 poems haiku while others that don't follow that rule not would be wrong. Since the whole 5-7-5 thing is not based on syllables and thus not transferable from Japanese in any way.

@steelerfan: Yes you damn well are. I think you are the best. And that is the truth.
@steelerfan: A haiku for you!
@NapoleonWilson: That's the usual reason that they're covered really briefly in our syllabuses over here before we move on to iambic pentameters and the like.

10:23 PM
@AndrewMartin Haha! Awesome!! Thanks, buddy :))

Afterall, the conent- and the plot-wise guidelines are way more important than that syllable rule.

I like Limericks... I bet they spend a lot of time on them in your part of the world.

It's hard to beat Seamus Heaney

@AndrewMartin For example I'd call that less one based on the content-wise guidelines, while it adheres to the supposed syllable guidelines.

Or as a Northern Irish citizen, Michael Longley's infamous Ceasefire poem after the Troubles ended.
It was adapted from Homer's Iliad:
Put in mind of his own father and moved to tears
Achilles took him by the hand and pushed the old king
Gently away, but Priam curled up at his feet and
Wept with him until their sadness filled the building.
Taking Hector’s corpse into his own hands Achilles
Made sure it was washed and, for the old king’s sake,
Laid out in uniform, ready for Priam to carry
Wrapped like a present home to Troy at daybreak.
When they had eaten together, it pleased them both
To stare at each other’s beauty as lovers might,
Achilles built like a god, Priam good-looking still
And full of conversation, who earlier had sighed:
‘I get down on my knees and do what must be done
And kiss Achilles’ hand, the killer of my son.'
Pretty moving if you are familiar with Northern Ireland's history.
@NapoleonWilson: Quite true. I've never played around with haikus very much.

10:28 PM
@AndrewMartin Is that pro-Britain or anti-Britain?

@NapoleonWilson: Neither, really. It was just a recognition that for peace to last, we would have to kiss Achilles' hand, the killer of my son - both sides would have to work with one another, despite the atrocities committed by both sides.
Which, largely, they've tried to do (not always successfully, but we've never descended back to The Troubles)

@AndrewMartin Well, I never said I really know much about it either, though. So don't take my elaborations too serious.

@NapoleonWilson: I always take your elaborations seriously. I've never seen you make a rushed or overly simplistic comment anywhere on this site. Your views are always very well thought out - usually much more than my own rushed opinions.

@NapoleonWilson Well, I absolutely adore your haikus :)

@AndrewMartin That's because I also have the ability to delete comments, muahahaha!

10:34 PM
:D

@steelerfan I also liked JAG very much, which was apparently highly inspired by it.

@NapoleonWilson It was inspired by haikus?

@steelerfan No, by the thing discussed in the chat message that mine was a reply to.

@NapoleonWilson Oh, gotcha! Are you talking about the tv show, JAG? My dad frigging loved that show!

@steelerfan Yes, I do. And I liked that very much, too. The mixture of military and courtroom stuff was just great.

10:48 PM
@NapoleonWilson Yeah, well, I come from a military family, so that would explain why my dad liked it. I have never really watched it though.

Q: Is there a coincidence between actor Jake not visiting the agency in 6 months and his wife being 6 months pregnant?

SarpSTAIn Enemy, when teacher Jake goes to agency the security guy says he (thinking he is the actor Jake) hasn't set foot in agency in 6 months. Then, wife of the Actor Jake meets teacher Jake. When teacher Jake asks she says she is 6 months pregnant. Is there some sort of hint here meaning the actor...

@MovieReel Yet another person who doesn't understand how pregnancy works. If it were 5 months he was missing, that'd be one thing but 6 months... he wouldn't have known.

@Catija Um, well, or the filmmakers don't understand that. It's still a pretty good question actually. Or at least that's what I think.

I don't know anything about Enemy... so I have no clue.

Catija only knows about the pregnancy part ;)

10:56 PM
It's a very interesting film. But I agree with the comment that the answer largely depends on how one choses to interpret it.

@steelerfan :D I don't like the fact that you're not actually pregnant for the first two-three weeks... it's sort of absurd.
Did you see this, @NapoleonWilson

Q: The comment pop-up is too far away

PythonMasterWhen you click the add a comment button when you don't have enough rep, you get a pop-up saying that you need more rep in able to comment. Except, it is too far away and users might be confused for a while before realizing the pop-up is on the other side of the page: Clearly, that is very inc...

Looks a bit familiar.

@Catija Are you referring to right after the egg is fertilized?

And of course the film also features a naked Mélanie Laurent! (Even if that might be less of a positive factor for others.)

@steelerfan No. They count the pregnancy beginning at when you start your last period before the pregnancy... so you're literally not pregnant at all for the first two weeks...

Meh. Naked people don't bother me.

11:00 PM
@Catija I did not.

@Catija Oh, right! I'm not very familiar with pregnancy stuff, even for a nurse. It's not my field of expertise :)

@steelerfan :D No worries. I didn't realize, either... until I started reading up.

@Catija But doesn't this make all the time measurements, especially the scheduled birthday, quite inaccurate? But well, I admittedly don't really know how it works, too.

@NapoleonWilson It's complex... the average woman doesn't know when she ovulates (because human biology works to actually hide it, to a degree), so she can't really know what day she conceived... but, on average, a woman ovulates half way through her cycle. Once they start doing ultrasounds, they can check the length of the fetus and estimate the age. If women have irregular cycles, though, they could be off by an entire month.

11:08 PM
If that's the case, it will become clear when they do the ultrasound because the difference in size between a 10 week pregnancy and a 14 week pregnancy is really big... about three times larger.
TMI?

@Catija What is "TMI"?

@Catija Oh, no, not at all. And afterall I asked for it anyway.

A lot of guys get queasy when talking about this sort of stuff.

Depending on how often you have sex, you can pretty much guess the time of conception down to the week, or so I think.

11:10 PM
@Catija Well, it's just ovulation and pregnancies. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

WOOT!!!

@steelerfan Yes... but sperm can live inside for 4-5 days, which is why they tell people trying to get pregnant to have sex 4-5 days in a row before expected ovulation.
@NapoleonWilson American guys are weird.

But sure, I'm not too inclined on discussing the gritty details of someone's period either.

It's our lack of sex ed in schools, I think... even in high school they divide the class into boys and girls and only teach them about their own anatomy... so guys are usually a bit clueless about ladies... not that ladies are really taught much. Most of what I know, is from reading up on the web.

@Catija Yeah, true. I forgot about how long those little suckers can survive!

11:12 PM
@NapoleonWilson Shit, I don't like that. :P I have friends who are always "you should talk about it, it's natural" and I'm like... "I don't care... it's gross.

@Catija Well, I don't really know that much about it either, though. But if I remeber correctly we did this stuff extensively in biology lessons. Though, that was later, the sex education from primary school was a little less detailed and only explained the more obvious stuff.

I learned mostly from my sister......which explains a lot ;)

@steelerfan Is she still a bit crazy? I'm trying to teach you that not all pregnant ladies are nuts. :P
You haven't had sex ed until you've had Monty Python do your sex ed. :D

@Catija Haha! Yeah, she's still nuts! I'm saying she is the one who talked to me about sex. Yeah, she pretty much had me traumatized ;)
@Catija Haha! True!

@steelerfan I hope your nurse's training helped clear up some of that crap. Girls are so bad about scaring other ladies about that stuff.

11:19 PM
@Catija Oh, yeah. I learned. I just remember thinking to myself "it has to do what? It goes where? And then it does WHAT?" faints hehehe :)

What an interesting discussion I've been missing...

@steelerfan HA HA.

@AndrewMartin I think we drove poor Napoleon away ;)

@AndrewMartin Blame the new question on the site.

@steelerfan No, I just don't have much to contribute.

11:22 PM
@NapoleonWilson HAHA! Fair enough ;)

Where's the handy gifs showing what's what?
:P

Wad probably knows ;)

Likely to get flagged :P I didn't even post a link to the Monty Python skit, despite it being awesome.

I love that skit!! Hilarious!!

It's a very good one. Probably one of my favorites. A lot of Meaning of Life can get a bit silly, but that one is fun.
Anyway, have to head out and rescue my husband from work... getting a second car is on our list but, for now (or until they allow self-driving cars), I have to go and pick him up.

Q: Cant remember this b movie name?

ShannonPlot: A Virgin tries to create a artificial girlfriend and she tries to convince him she is real and doesn't need a real girlfriend. Its B movie she is in is mobile phone quite a old movie.

@Catija Bye :)

But I will leave you with a fluffy baby cow:

Good bye then.

Now I want to watch the sex-ed skit ;)
I'm going home. I guess this means that I get the rest of the day off! WOOT!

@steelerfan has it been clarified why noone showed up?

11:38 PM
@NapoleonWilson Yeah, they thought it was just one session. I did a 2 hour session this morning and I guess they figured that it was over. I don't know how they got that impression, since it was made clear, but, oh well.

By the way, now that Superbowl's over, when's your visit at the coiffeur scheduled?

Well, it was supposed to be tomorrow, but I have to go get my taxes done. Probably next week sometime. I'm not going really short, probably just below my shoulders :)
