Q: Why is Phantasm II available on Bluray while the other movies in this series are not?

John OAs far as I can tell, Phantasm 1, 3, and 4 are only available on DVD. Is there a reason why this is so? I can't tell if the rights are owned by a different company, but I don't believe this to be the case. And the second movie is hardly such a classic that it would be included in the Criterion ...

12:47 AM
Teaser trailer for Spectre has been released.

1:12 AM
@MattD WUUUT?

1:29 AM
Oh, sorry, forgot to link it: youtube.com/watch?v=GvQJbF2CXLQ

@MattD Yeah, found it myself already (after crawling through tons of fan-made shit).

Yeeeeeeah, sorry about that.

Well, thanks for mentioning it at all. Can't be too early to see a trailer for the most anticipated movie of the year, even if it's such a short one.

2:31 AM
It's one of many anticipated movies this year, but I'm not sure about most anticipated. :P

Sure, but it's friggin James Bond!
Though, I'm also looking very much forward to The Martian.

I'm super stoked for Jurassic World. New movie, and the script is by the people who handled the two most recent Planet of the Apes films? I don't know how the hell that can fail.

@MattD Hmm, sure, also Terminator. And I recently saw the trailer for Mad Max, which was absolutely great.

I wasn't sold on Terminator initially, but it's grown on me. And yeah, Mad Max looks bad ass.
But, and I don't think I'm wrong for saying this, there is a single movie that is easily the single most anticipated movie of this year.
More so than Spectre.

Meh, I'm a big Star Wars fan, but the hype hasn't yet gripped me, I think. Although, I'm of course looking forward to it.
But for now Spectre still wins for me, I love James Bond and I love Daniel Craig as James Bond.

Q: Identifying a Movie called "Espionage"

Keshav SrinivasanI'm trying to identify a movie that I saw on TV sometime in the 90's or early 2000's. We had digital cable in the house so it could be either on one of the broadcast networks or on a premium channel like HBO. And being on television, it could either be a TV movie or a theatrical film. It's an ...

Q: In Interstellar, what if Cooper never sent the coordinates of NASA to himself?

JulioI haven't seen this answered yet so here goes...What if Cooper never sent the coordinates to himself? When he's in the tesseract, he surely remembers receiving the coordinates of NASA. But suppose he never sends the coordinates...how would he get to the tesseract in the first place? At the moment...

Q: A question about the quote in Wedding Crashers

ALANI'm always confused about the quote "Ouch , ouch , you're on my hair . " What is it really means ? When this quote is being translated into Chinese version , it means " Stop touching my hair during sex . " It just sounds ridiculous to me .

Q: Are weapon manufacturer investing in product placement?

CharminBasically in every movie or tv series we can find product placement. Companies like Apple, Microsoft, Samsung and many more are promoting their products through product placement. My Question is: is it documented that weapon manufacturer like Smith & Wesson or Heckler & Koch are promoting their ...

Q: How did the journalist know this in The Missing?

bart-lebyI have a question regarding the BBC series The Missing. I missed the point of how the journalist Malik Suri got to know that Tony had killed Ian Garrett's character.

Q: Whose signature is shown in the Spectre teaser?

alexwlchanI was watching the teaser trailer for Spectre, and approximately 28 seconds in, we see this signature: The surname of the signatory looks like “Bond”, but it’s certainly not James, nor does it seem to be the name of either of his parents (Andrew and Monique). I think it looks a bit like “Chair...

A: Do you think it's time for a change in the way we use tags?

Napoleon WilsonI don't think it's time for a significant change in the way we use tags here. Now first of all, your tag category based approach for cleaner tagging is in general a very good idea. However, I don't agree with some of the categorization you make and with many of the tags you propose for removal, ...
