i would probably prefer to do .net or js/html5 on windows phone, or Java on Android over objective-c on iOS

But Apple have a LOT of units out there - can't be ignored

You can program an iPhone in c# of course - something called monotouch

Apparently quite good.

we moved our citrix farm from a sql 2005 isntance to a 2008 r2 instance. in the process it decided to install on the master database instead of creating it's own, so now i have the privilege of backing up master, creating the new database, and copying the data.

@stevvve i'm going to state it hear rather in a comment. the character Alfred has never indicated to be an actor. he has been a servant for all of bruce's life plus some. by the time gotham was taken over, Alfred had left the city (assumed, since we don't see him during the siege). The only way that Alfred could have know that Bruce was not dead is if Bruce somehow left Alfred a note stating that he wasn't dead.

In order for that to happen Bruce would have had to have known he was going to take the bomb over the ocean, or do something equally as stupid

the idea of alfred being in on it is predicated by a need for htem to communicate in some fashion that Bruce wasn't dead. there is no indication of this in the film.

I just can't shake this non-existent deleted scene out of my head wherein Alfred and Bruce somehow either discover that the League of Shadows is spying on them or knows a TON of info about them and they play into their hands.

While, admittedly, opens a whole can of worms assuming so many things and adding so many unanswered questions and/or unlikely scenarios.

However, reading more into the clues, the only thing that has got me nicked on this "is he dead thing" are the pearls. The batsignal can be explained by Blake, possibly letting Gordon know, batman's legacy is not dead, expect a new face. The auto pilot could've not been used. Ntm, how would he have contacted Selina and gone away with her? if she thinks he's dead also

At the root of it, I think more than anything that I want Alfred to be in on it because I like his character and believe he's capable of being more than just a butler-- and really, that would mean that Bruce is alive and happy, just like Alfred dreamed. Clearly I'm just hoping for a Scooby Doo ending.

With the conclusion of Nolan's Dark Knight movies, we are now able to look at all three movies as a single entity, broken up into three parts (acts, if you will). Is there a specific theme, or set of themes, that span the entire trilogy?
