A fervent desire to transform a constant to something other than a constant seems

Q: Transform Data to Desired Standard Deviation and Mean when Std is Zero

AhmetRasitBekarHow do you change a dataset's standard deviation which has equal inputs? The answer is here when standard deviation is not zero: https://stats.stackexchange.com/a/46431/162533 But I couldn't find an answer when standard deviation is zero. EDIT: Like this one: {10.01,10.01,10.01,10.01,10.01,...

Like Babbage (in a different context), I am not able rightly to apprehend the kind of confusion of ideas that could provoke such a question.
How does one even begin to imagine that f(2) applied now will be different from f(2) when it is applied a moment later, let alone hold it as something that can be done long enough to play with it in Excel, post a question and then when it is explained to be impossible, still take the time launch into an extended account of attempts to do it, rather than to think about what is actually going on.
Is three times four only twelve just at the moment? If I check it again in a minute is it going to change? I don't follow this kind of thing at all. How does one function well enough to use Excel to do calculations but fail to comprehend anything about what they're attempting to get it to do?
