@AndyW Given the different focus in the titles the two should probably remain, though it might be useful to put a comment in the newer one pointing out the useful answer in the older one

Hi all, I keep asking myself: Am I not using the site in a proper way? Or I'm insulting the community somehow?
I'm a member for the last couple of months, and I have asked 3 questions which did not get any response. I got an answer on one, but this was from a friend who I emailed the link she replied through the website.
I thought this was due to my low reputation, so I started editing around and answering to get reputation. I admit that the first two answers I gave were wrong (maybe I was stressed or just wanted to answer too fast to get a vote up) but I learned my lesson and I've been careful since then. The next 3 answers I gave all have been accepted and received good response.
I thought the questions I asked were basic enough for experienced people in statistics to get an answer. So, it has to be with the way I'm using the site..

@Steve Certainly nothing insulting or untoward there: your questions are carefully crafted. The sample-size calculation question is simply difficult: that's the one you should work at getting more visibility for.
The logistic regression question is problematic: you don't define or describe your symbols, you never actually ask a direct question, but you skirt around multiple related questions. It could benefit from some rewriting to address those issues.

Thanks @whuber, that's appreciated. I'll try to edit and make the logistic regression question better. Also, in the future I'll try to be more precise with what I ask and clarify my questions.
