Q: Statistics on number of users being post-banned?

toheczI am interested in statistics on number of users getting post ban, for different SX sites. Is such information available? Is it possible to get such information from the Data Explorer? (Then it would be enough to show me how, I can make the SQL request myself.)

Q: SSMS produces error if query returns too many rows

Артём ЦарионовWe are having an issue with a server that we linked to our sql server 2012 instance. The server that we linked through an odbc or oledb connection is Pervasive SQL. Selecting from the linked server this way works as long as the result set is small: select * from linked_server.database..mytable...

Артём continues to have fun with his Pervasive linked server.

The activity log (tab: Posts) shows more than 10 questions in the last 3 days, in 3 sites, SO, DBA and SF: stackexchange.com/users/40617/?tab=activity

@rfusca I have used that technique, too (surrogate nulls to compare nullity) but I really don't like it. :)

@rfusca Damn. I'd be like 'You know, it'd be so much better without all those squalling brats. When's the 18+ session?'

11:05 AM
@ConcernedOfTunbridgeWells I see a business opportunity here. Kids to let.

11:46 AM
@ypercube To be honest, I'd rather have the Lego without the kids.

@ConcernedOfTunbridgeWells actually, every once and awhile they do 'adult night' sessions...with beer

@SQLKiwi This has been cross- posted on SO

Q: what would cause a linked server to return a limited amount of data?

@ErikE well then you could always make a generic function that takes two values values and does the null compare logic internally

@rfusca Sounds more like it :D
Actually, I live just up the road from the Windsor Legoland. Maybe I should see if they do 'grown up' sessions :D

Legoland = AWESOME

@rfusca Yeah, that's going to be performant. :) Using a UDF is an even worse solution!
@ypercube Nice! :)

@bluefeet Yes I saw (@ypercube mentioned it too)

@SimonRigharts Evening

9:35 PM
@ypercube By the way, you get better results if you increase the hops! tracert -h 60 216.81.59.173 in DOS and traceroute -m 60 216.81.59.173 in unix.
