Of course, being God, death couldn't stop Him, so He rose again and lives today, dwelling among us to offer us His gift.
It is my hope that you consider all of this and that your problem isn't one of belief, but of hatred toward Him.
I assure you, He has gone to great lengths to reconcile you to Him.

I find myself more happier and productive once I converted to an Athiest. Due to this reason, I would never ever turn back.

Converted from what?

from a god believer to athiest.

m59
What god?

whichever god you are talking off.

m59
8:03 AM
you never followed the God I am speaking of.
and the God I am speaking of is Jesus :)

what do you mean by follow? follow as in what?

m59
As in I live by His teachings. He is my King, I am His servant.

You are his servant, what have you done for him?

m59
Much, but much less than I wish I had.

much? like what?

We sponsor a child from Rwanda.
I spent years studying genocide, slavery and poverty and raised money and spoke at event and schools as to help propose and further solutions to those issues.
We're buying a homeless woman a car right now and trying to help her find good work and a home.
I've let people stay at my home for free when they needed it.

you did this for your god?

m59
I gave up job opportunities to provide music for church gatherings (you may not find this significant, but people appreciated it)
I could go on. Yes.
By the way, I was an Atheist until I was 19.
The most obvious thing is that I've been speaking with you for 3 hours after I was about to go to sleep in hopes that our time together would be a benefit to you.
If I didn't care, I could be sleeping next to my beautiful wife. We live for others first.
And I certainly didn't feel that way before I met Jesus.
I was a terrible person.

All that work is a very nice deed.

m59
according to what? :)

to me

I don't know how you feel at this point, but it's my hope that you realize you say everything you say because God made it necessary, so you cannot deny His existence.
and that each time you do, you'd remember that you're using His logic to fight Him, though He suffered so much for you
and through this, that you would lay down your life to Him. It's a better life than you could ever realize.
As He said: "Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it."
@AwalGarg love you bro. Thanks for hanging out.
Is there anything you'd like to say before I go?
I probably should get into bed :)

@m59 That was interesting; gnight.

m59
@Retsam cool. Any thoughts? You were welcome to join in, ya know!

@m59 I've found in the past these sort of conversations get more confusing with more voices, and I was multitasking with other things
I don't think I've quite seen anyone take that approach before; definitely food for thought for me as well.

It's called "presuppositional apologetics".
Totally from Scripture, man.
Check out this youtube channel. This video is a good starting place. youtube.com/watch?v=DKEKfmPpaX8

Cool, I'll look into that. Anyways I'll let you get to bed

m59
heh, alrighty. Goodnight!!

Gnight

@m59 r u still here?
umm, well, I had to go. But I didn't leave entirely.
I just wanted to say that your opinion is good, and those were all wonderful things you did.
But the "He" you talk of isn't the kind of person I would like to follow.

@m59 This problem persists:

No person knows everything, so we're all still kind of left not knowing anything for sure, even IF something did know everything and tried to tell us!
Yet you moved quickly to using that (the Bible) to support your claims. By your own metric, you have given the same looped reasoning that Awal did.
You need to prove the Bible is God's. You need to prove God is omniscient. You need to prove God is existent.
I think that's a much taller order than Awal convincing you that morality does not need an absolute grounding.

@fredsbend of course, and I would be glad to do so. I did already prove that God exists. That was the point of this conversation.
In that process, I laid a starting foundation for belief in Jesus as being that God, and wasn't necessarily concerned with discussing evidence for the time being.
The quote you have from me there is immediately followed by the only possible solution to that problem. I said that so that the problem I was solving would be clear.
Though, to be clear, I don't mean to "prove" that God exists, but to prove we all are certain He exists. It could be argued that such is a trivial difference, but I prefer to be as careful about my words as possible.
@AwalGarg I'd like to hear more about what you think about this. I demonstrated that you must believe in God because you cannot escape using logic and morality and this can only be so if God revealed them to you in such a way that they are undeniable. So, would you affirm that there is no doubt some such god exists?
Being that our God who is called Yahweh and Jesus is the only God in the world that is spoken of this way, there are only the options that Jesus is this God, or we don't know who He is at all.
As a quick response to that, as we are certain that this God has revealed logic and morality to us, we should much more believe that God wouldn't have ignored us from then on, but would rather have been present with us.
There is much more that can be said on that topic if needed.
So, I have good reason to believe that this God would participate in our lives, and the only God referred to as having revealed these things to us as I have demonstrated is Jesus.
But, of course, there is historical evidence that Jesus came here as a man, that He was killed and rose from the dead.
The thing that I'm stuck on is that you've made it clear, just as I said, that this isn't a problem of evidence - it's a problem that you would refuse to follow Jesus under any circumstance.
Because I care, I don't want that life for anyone. Remember that God is the reason you know it's wrong to harm people. In this life, His grace and love cover you, even in your rebellion against Him. When your body dies, you'll be taken out of God's presence forever.
You won't care about harming people anymore. That's a gift from God.
You won't find things beautiful anymore.
All that's good in this life is a gift from God and you are choosing to walk away from it forever.
All I can do at this point is promise you that following my God who can breathe galaxies and who gifts us with love and beauty is a better life than I've never known before it. There is freedom in His Kingdom.
God says you are enslaved by your crimes against Him.
Demons, the evil forces in this world, have chained you up and made you a slave. Jesus offers freedom.
If you truly are willing to follow the truth wherever it may lead, I would be glad to discuss more evidence.
@fredsbend I enjoy your answers/comments, by the way. I checked out some posts. Good stuff.
