@fredsbend of course, and I would be glad to do so. I did already prove that God exists. That was the point of this conversation.
In that process, I laid a starting foundation for belief in Jesus as being that God, and wasn't necessarily concerned with discussing evidence for the time being.
The quote you have from me there is immediately followed by the only possible solution to that problem. I said that so that the problem I was solving would be clear.
Though, to be clear, I don't mean to "prove" that God exists, but to prove we all are certain He exists. It could be argued that such is a trivial difference, but I prefer to be as careful about my words as possible.
@AwalGarg I'd like to hear more about what you think about this. I demonstrated that you must believe in God because you cannot escape using logic and morality and this can only be so if God revealed them to you in such a way that they are undeniable. So, would you affirm that there is no doubt some such god exists?
Being that our God who is called Yahweh and Jesus is the only God in the world that is spoken of this way, there are only the options that Jesus is this God, or we don't know who He is at all.
As a quick response to that, as we are certain that this God has revealed logic and morality to us, we should much more believe that God wouldn't have ignored us from then on, but would rather have been present with us.
There is much more that can be said on that topic if needed.
So, I have good reason to believe that this God would participate in our lives, and the only God referred to as having revealed these things to us as I have demonstrated is Jesus.
But, of course, there is historical evidence that Jesus came here as a man, that He was killed and rose from the dead.
The thing that I'm stuck on is that you've made it clear, just as I said, that this isn't a problem of evidence - it's a problem that you would refuse to follow Jesus under any circumstance.
Because I care, I don't want that life for anyone. Remember that God is the reason you know it's wrong to harm people. In this life, His grace and love cover you, even in your rebellion against Him. When your body dies, you'll be taken out of God's presence forever.
You won't care about harming people anymore. That's a gift from God.
You won't find things beautiful anymore.
All that's good in this life is a gift from God and you are choosing to walk away from it forever.
All I can do at this point is promise you that following my God who can breathe galaxies and who gifts us with love and beauty is a better life than I've never known before it. There is freedom in His Kingdom.
God says you are enslaved by your crimes against Him.
Demons, the evil forces in this world, have chained you up and made you a slave. Jesus offers freedom.
If you truly are willing to follow the truth wherever it may lead, I would be glad to discuss more evidence.
@fredsbend I enjoy your answers/comments, by the way. I checked out some posts. Good stuff.
