On the weekend I put all my Lego instruction books into plastic sleeves in binders. Most of my childhood instruction books are missing, but strangely somehow I have a catalog that's older than any kit I can recall owning.
It's strange to me that somehow that catalog survived the 36 year journey into my binder but my instructions for my prized castle and spaceships did not.
I have, literally, a single fragment of the first page of instructions for 6950 and that's one of my favourite sets ever.
Lesson learned: I've taught my kids to store their instructions in a separate box, so that they can remain intact for years.
