@W5VO, i like the design and the fact that you drew it up
@W5VO, I was thinking a opamp with a simple wire from the top to the + side pointing up to be an upvote, and one poiting down with it going to the negative side. Because you rotate the op-amp the lines would be on the same side.
I may try to draw it. I like it more the more I think about it.
As we're getting closer to launch the site, I need your help with some ideas for the images on the 404/Error/Captcha pages.
I typically keep these images somewhat whimsical or clever, but fitting to the design of the theme and site topic. The final theme of this site will have a grid paper backg...
Looking at this it seems that the topic being felt out is more theory instead of application.
The OP would like to know more about the topic, does not have a specific problem implementing it, would just like the concept explained.
Maybe a "Conceptual" Tag would fit this need?
If you are still talking about using inverters and buffers for up and down votes, I really didnt like the idea when they are used horizonally. They'd need to point vertically. I've done a really quick mockup in Paint of my zener idea using the existing theme.
@Kortuk, Oh, I thought since you were talking about two different symbols and the example was given horizontally, that they weren't going to be drawn vertically. If they are going to be pointing up and down, do you need to use different symbols?
Very very Very trashy, but I thought something similar using an opamp and drawn well could look nice as an upvote and downvote. I think it is just too busy @Jin, @Martin.

@W5VO - Agreed. The worst is when they don't even bother to format it with the local markdown and you get BBCode or HTML on Stackexchange. BTW, to do the tag thing, use `[tag:tagname]`
