@ton.yeung yes because the parsing is not working, it should make imgur images small by default if u send the original size or use the upload box

It can be used formally, in which case it's probably still more common in feminine speech but doesn't have much of a gender connotation. It can also be used informally, most commonly by women when speaking to their husbands.

Of course, you can typically avoid using 2nd person pronouns at all in most cases in Japanese, so they don't come up as much as 1st person ones.

Kimi is a bit too informal for speaking to someone you don't know IMO

I guess if you're just asking for directions or something like that, you can use anata. Probably won't cause any problems. But if you are trying to have anything approximating a real conversation, you should get their name and introduce yourself first.

but you don't really need to refer to them directly anyway for that, except maybe to get their attention. And even that's somewhat rude; you're better off saying "excuse me" rather than "hey you" in English and Japanese isn't really any different.
