Not sure if it's OK to ask for a reference request here, but here it is: I'm looking for some information (website, book, etc.) on education in the 18th century. I've read through about twenty pages of Google's hits for "18th century education" and none of them are answering the things I'm looking for.
^ All of the websites I've looked at don't go as in depth as I'd like them to. (How memory-based was instruction?, How many times was material covered before advancing?, etc.)
