It it common to exclude such texts from history? Especially 1, 3 & 4 can be used as a proxy for proper historical writing. What's the difference between "King X lost the battle of Y in Z" and a balance sheet (Yes those were invented later but something similar) saying "Payment of King X in year Z for swiss mercenaries fell through - reason: death"

@user45891 (1) especially, I don't think most people would exclude such valuable records... I'm pretty sure they are only excluded here in order to pretend China didn't invent writing until "800 AD".
