@Semaphore Do you mean low quality or is there stuff trying to sell something? There are a few unhandled flags on the site at the moment. I'll take a look at them.

Oh. And I'm sorry I haven't issued a new challenge lately, @Semaphore. I've been pulled in other directions lately. Would you like to take over the job?

Never any research effort, almost always off topic, and often plain wrong; and there's no sign that the user is willing to listen to comments advising them to follow the site's rules

Q: Off topic posts becoming endemic

I just counted 16 of the last 28 questions (57%) as put on hold due to being off topic. One step towards not being a "beta" step might be to reduce the number of off topic posts. It doesn't look good when a visitor comes and sees that the whole front page is "on hold". One strategy might be use...
