@Ohnana well they had these people called Disc Jockeys (odd really as there was rarely a horse in sight) and they would go around finding new music, and then they would go back to a studo and broadcast over a wireless transmitted (kind of like wi-fi networks but much much longer range)

and you could tune into one of the stations to listen to what the disc jockey (or DJ) was playing
