I made so much food that it took me an hour to eat it all. Think I might try making a bit less next time. Making 3/4kg food or something for one person is a bit overkill.

@Flyk There are many different kinds of solenoids, but in this case it's essentially a magnet coil that moves a chunk of steel inside a larger chunk of steel to either allow or prevent air flow.
@RoryAlsop well <instrument> is making a noise live, bouncing it out is basically exporting that single instrument as an audio file and reimporting it so that you're not generating it on the fly while playing it back
@DavidFreitag yeah - unfortunately I moved away from circuit design before getting into that. Well, I still design circuits for effects pedals etc, but they are reasonably large scale :-)

@DavidFreitag I do like teh MX5 (or Miata) on the track, but after having various sports cars, the Forester is by far the most fun car I have ever owned. And the only cars I have enjoyed driving more have been Ariel Atoms, Caterhams, Formular Jaguar Palmer etc
@Flyk I get 35-ish. Or 8 or 9 on a track day. But that's the least of my worries on a track day - I also need to spend a grand on tyres and the same again on brake bits every time

@DavidFreitag Our carpark at work is amusingly like a muddy field, so my car is great fun. Even here, one guy takes a Caterham to work, and one guy alternates between his GTR and his Atom
just dropping out the kick and ensuring you've got some silence in the track every now and again does wonders for how you arrange the rest of the track
and nice drop sounds epic, but sometimes silence sounds just as epic
