@Davïd :S ? Per Wikipedia: Skeptical, annoyed, undecided, uneasy, hesitant". Happy to take follow-ups (I'm a little curious why this topic is of interest?), though I'm not sure I have the expertise to offer a balanced perspective.

@Davïd I have a hard time figuring out how EHLL is organized, but the article "Tiberian Reading Tradition" says: "the default pronunciation of waw was a labio-dental". (One wonders why we transcribe w.) So I gather the shift happened in the first millennium CE, if the LXX ιαω thing is a correct conclusion.
(I'm a little uncertain, because Greek doesn't have a "v" that the scribe chose not to use instead. I'm trying and failing to find the second column of the Hexapla online. This has prolegomena in Latin so I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but the text doesn't appear to include it. Maybe it's only included where there's ms evidence?)
But any insights about a narrower range would be appreciated.

@Davïd @PaulVargas I've been hanging around SE about the way Wally hangs around the office.
