Thanks, Matthew! I was able to access the article, so no need to quote it. (I'm skeptical about the case made re. συνχράομαι - charting new territory in a footnote it seems - but you're certainly right that it's there. I may make a question about this myself soon.) It looks like that article provides background for a lot of your argument here, though. It might be worthwhile including at least this citation in the body of the answer. — Susan ♦ Mar 4 at 7:00
@Susan Did you ever make a question on that? It is an interesting idea, even if not completely supported by the OP.

In line with @Davïd concern above, perhaps someone else can try explaining to Christy V what we are looking for here. I have tried and failed as she keep answering questions in the same manner which is not quite what we are looking for.

@ThaddeusB it's hard (and takes a lot of energy and time that may or may not be worth it) to teach someone who already believes themselves to be an expert. I recommend DVing with a comment linking to site distinctives and/or tour, addressing erroneous content briefly if you think it's worth it (often it's best not to comment at all when DVing because it just invites drama)
But of course, feel free to take whatever action you believe is appropriate
And if you have the time and energy, go for it. I don't - my 6-month-old and job consume almost all of it these days ;)
I killed the second answer which is not a full answer

@Dan I don't mind wasting my time, but I feel awkward commenting on every post of the same user (I commented on 3). :)

Assuming the OP doesn't weigh in, does everyone else have thoughts on this:
Do you mind if we broaden this question to ask "What did the King James translators use as sources?" The question is very basic, but we don't seem to have an existing question on the subject so it would good to have a single question which can cover all the sources at once. — ThaddeusB 55 secs ago

@ThaddeusB yes, opposed in the sense of if I have time to spare I'd usually think it more productive to read the source material rather than any commentary or secondary text (applies equally to modern books/commentaries of course)

@JackDouglas I believe the biblical texts are best understood and interpreted within community, and according to Christian beliefs, that community includes both the living and the dead

@Dan sure but they are also best misunderstood in community :p

@JackDouglas @Dan So that's what "iron sharpening iron" looks like.... ;^)
