@user3222184 Still it's a plus on your resume. Hands-on experience will set you apart from the guys who just passed their tests.

@user3222184 A lot of time undergrads in our labs won't have a really focused project that they can work on. You can use it to build experience, and if you're looking for a job in the same area, you'll have an idea if you like it

You have to be careful that you're not just sweeping the floor, so to speak
