@NickAlexeev Some of the more reputable manufacturers (e.g. Chemi-Con) will publish detailed graphs for testing representative devices. For some of their products the ESR appears to increase by an order of magnitude. See this note for general info chemi-con.co.jp/e/catalog/pdf/al-e/al-sepa-e/001-guide/… and this one for examples of a specific product performance: chemi-con.co.jp/e/catalog/pdf/al-e/al-sepa-e/001-guide/…
Maybe if the internal resistance increases, self-heating will fix your problem ;)

@abdullahkahraman How do you like the Kinetis KL25Z? What do you use for development (IDE, dev board?)

3:16 AM
@W5VO Thanks for the links. I have also found this page, which is based on Nichicon's data .

@NickAlexeev The way they draw the graphs you don't really get a change in capacitance, but it may feel like it due to the ESR increase

@W5VO I should say I like it very much. I am using FRDM-KL25Z board for development. I can program all of the Kinetis series with this board using the SWD connector on it and some modifications to the programmer firmware which is very easy.
As for the IDE, I use CodeWarrior that is Freescale's tool and free up to 32 kB I think.
It has Processor Expert which I use for initializing processor modules such as timers, ADC etc. It becomes veeeery easy!
You don't need to buy a programmer at all, FRDM-KL25Z solves it all.
For example recently I have programmed two boards which one of them use a KE04 series ARM M0+ microcontroller and the other one being a KL26Z series ARM M0+ microcontroller
I am sorry but I will not switch from Freescale any time soon, other vendors, I am sorry :)

Here is one of the boards with KL26Z USB microcontroller on it, it is a USB FSK RFID Card Reader:

@abdullahkahraman That's good to hear. How usable are the publicly available libraries for USB?

4:02 PM
@W5VO Well, it takes me 5 min. to configure and make the USB CDC work, it is so easy with Processor Expert.
