I've left this answer to an astrophotography question in astronomy stackexchange which might have been better asked here. Any comments about the cause of the colors in the streaks are greatly appreciated!

@EuriPinhollow "... the property purchased with the intent and purpose of gaining a return on the initial expenditure described in the primary definition.
@AlexandreVaillancourt In general those apps don't give you access to all of the camera's menus and controls, only to the ones most likely to be needed. They're most useful when direct physical access to the camera is inconvenient or not possible.
In the old days sports shooters would place cameras above the arena, boxing ring, goal, etc. and remotely trigger them with simple "fire" commands. They had no way to see what the camera was seeing before the shot or what the shot looked like after (I mean it was back in the film era when Neil Leifer pioneered the technique), much less a way to change the camera's settings after they had placed it hours earlier.

From your second link:
"the act of putting money or effort into something to make a profit >>>or achieve a result<<<: "

@AJHenderson Although many of my former English teachers would say that it would be preferable to ask, " Have you yet subscribed to my channel?"
@EuriPinhollow "Result" would almost certainly refer to a financial result or other type of quanitfiable increase in that context.

@MichaelClark That would be redundant because of "make a profit" being already mentioned thus unlikely.

@EuriPinhollow Quite the opposite. It would be redundant to use the phrase "make a profit' again.
Looking at the definition again: money-->profit, effort-->result.
You invest money to make money. You invest time and effort to get a desired result.

@MichaelClark Should I imagine "respectively" at the end of definition?

@EuriPinhollow You're getting lost down the rabbit hole here. The point is when many people say they are going to "invest" in something they want for their own pleasure it would be far more accurate to describe it as "spend" for that something.
I mean I can say that I'm going to "invest" in a gallon of ice cream because it will result in my gaining a pound or two of weight... but that isn't really the best word to use there. Saying I'm going to "spend" for a gallon of ice cream and "pay" for it by my weight gain would be far more appropriate.

I see.
