@Boris_yo I primarily use lightroom, but use photoshop if I need to go beyond those capabilities
I also use GIMP a little at work on occasion, but that is for pretty limited manipulation of graphics rather than photography
and I don't know the G16 particularly or the point and shoot market really, but Powershot cameras tend to be solid

I didn't know G16 is point and shoot... Maybe more advanced one.

Do you think Lightroom is enough at early stages for product photography?

yeah, should be. It will let you do all the exposure correction and such, even some basic masking
