@Expotr Basically, yes. If the ln-lens aperture is the main light-limiter, then its character becomes dominant. But really, if you want distinctive bokeh shapes, and shallow depth of field, you'll be using the front-of-lens bokeh aperture
as your primary aperture. You'd be better off leaving your in-lens aperture wide open, and swapping out different-sized front-of-lens apertures. Example:
