it's obvious enough that FUD has taken previously impossible and impractical degrees when you see somebody trying to choose a solution for the problem which is nearly impossible to ever matter. Unless you are absolutely sure you will never travel to Honolulu or to Baker Island or Kiribati set your date to anything strongly inside the year:

@Ryan whenever you have a choice but something which will make you photographs better right away or will preserve your health if it is at risk. I'd say that single fixed prime (or even 90+135) is not too good for landscape photos. I'd go with 70-200/4, even not recent one.
@Manuel and of course one should put double quotes around date.

I cannot remember last time when CAs mattered on any photograph I took let alone remember single time when they did not stop making difference after I chose proper correction in raw developer.
