just hasn't been much conversation recently

I check the room for activity every few hours atleast

unless I'm out somewhere

even then I often check from my phone

so if there is something you want to talk about, just start by asking about the topic and people will respond

Apparently a technology called Ultra DMA, which double the speed in read/write... It's down to parallel processing to increse those speeds

oh, I'm familiar with the basics of why, but it isn't a photography question

a photographer 100% does not care why the card is faster

just what speed they get

I think it should be more clear now

the main thing that prompted my response to that was Andrew's answer about dark parts of images not being a problem with digital and highlights being a bigger issue

and the original thought behind the ETTR comment was simply to point out that dark noise is such a problem that people actually practice over-exposing intentionally to avoid it

but it did come off sounding like it was a substitute for good lighting, which was not my intent
