Wow, that's fast !!

Hi Jacob - I don't normally 'do' chat - but happy to make an exception.

You're on SU as well, aren't you?

I agree that "something should be done" about [google-spreadsheet] on SO. Re SU - sort of - rather more was but am no longer.

My drive/goal is to migrate Google Spreadsheet questions, across SE, to Web Applications

I agree with the objective!

You've build quite some rep. on SO, on the Excel tag. Do you want it there, or is it better suited on SU?

If deemed off topic on SO/SU I think the procedure is really to VTC - that's rather cumbersome. Flagging a mod to ask to migrate would be much easier!
I really don't care where Q's end up (other than in the bin for quite a few!)

Are you only interested in Excel or would GS be ok as well?
@pnuts LOL
Why don't you join me on Web Apps, because I can't handle it alone....

Mostly interested in Excel but some in GS (New) - mainly because so similar. So less interested where there are differences. I use Excel for work (though barely anything other than PTs) and GS really only to try and answer SO Qs. I will have a good look at Web Apps and see whether I can get a feel for what belongs there and what not.

I feel Web Apps can really contribute, by guiding/asking people (first). SO is meant for the programmers. I think we can make a change overhere.....
Thanks for taking time to chat !! Really appreciated.
Without doing anything:
The upvote on the first answer was mine !!

OK I've 'signed up' (and stumbled across a couple of my As there already!) but the site definition is quite specific and it could take me a while (if at all) to understand the boundaries.
Ah! Thank you for the vote!

Well, Google Spreadsheets is one of them. I'm happy to invite you over !!
Ok, wife is callin'. Need to go. Drop in any time to chat or on Googl-Fu

So what would you suggest in practical terms - a binge of VTCs SO Qs? Would a 'ring' be in order to get 5 people to pick one Q at a time to suggest migration?

Migration flags are extremely slow on SO. Posted a meta about that. Would more flagging one question result in faster mod. activity?

I was considering five close votes - all for off topic and suggesting the same alternative site - near enough in time to one another to get the target Q put on hold (or would that be enough for migration anyway?). I'd hope a mod would then help quickly (if a mod is required for this?) My hesitation is that ganging up in such a way is not really in the spirit of SE, in my view.
Though I have seen such (on a small scale) in the Python chat room for example.

About which question are you talking about?
