@kalina biochemistry is a fascinating thing. If possible perform some short (~5 minutes) nods so your body will start to consume the tired hormones (I forgot which ones that were). Also I heard a lot of people say that helping their digestion (eating Figs, for example) made them more awake after an hour or so.
Imagine I go on this Website and I ask for a mature implementation (also for a production environment) of an AOP framework which is usable in commercial projects for free and which allows me to decorate properties with attributes that allows to log property values.
I think the question could be...
This might be the first time in over a decade I've seen vim recommended for something and not agreed.
-1. As a vim advocate who uses it for literally everything (including composing this comment) I can't believe I'm saying this, but I cannot imagine vim being the best tool for the job to edit remote files on an iPad. The mode based interface is simply not touch screen friendly. Even with a vim friendly 'hacker' keyboard layout on my Android tablet, it's kind of a pain. — Caleb2 mins ago
@Izzy Munich is great! Have an email? Then I send you my profile PDF.
@Caleb I know and was hesitating to recommend it either. But its there and the OP said he tries so maybe we are all wrong. I will give it a try on my IPad later... But I guess in the end of the day this will not be the accepted answer on this question.
Oh man, now Sam isn't bugging me with psychologies anymore now hes bugging around with semantics. Someone interested in picking it up where I want to leave it?
@AngeloNeuschitzer I think it is unfortunate that the vast majority of answers we are seeing so far are just rehashes of Google searches for products that support x, y and z, add a screenshot copied from the product site and call it good. We should be considering the use case presented and making knowledgeable recommendations for solutions and WHY a certain package(s) are the best solution. If we don't get enough traction behind that concept this is going to be a sucky site (and I'll run far far away).
"mature" can be objectified. This word describes various elements of software (good documentation, few bugs and they are quickly closed, active development community, production readyness, etc.) If your question states what measurable elements of "mature" you are looking for then its good. The im...
@AngeloNeuschitzer Wow. Without checking who posted it: Reaching 30% I'm pretty sure that must have been @Caleb. Profound, all background detailed. If something is missing in one of his answers, consider it a "draft" he for sure is updating later. thumbs up!
@Izzy Not a problem in my eyes. If I come here to get a Recommendation on what will help my problem than I'm willing to spend more than 10 minutes anyway.
@Izzy So, don't read past the first paragraph :) If the why stuff gets out of hand, I lead off with a summary or TLDR. It this case, the first five words answers the question.
@AngeloNeuschitzer No prob, that's how I work. So if you don't have a contractor currently, and it's OK with you, I forward that to mine to do the dealing?
I made a "test-drive" question about plugins.
But, how should we treat those kind of question, that doesn't ask for a application itself, just a dll or plugin like software?
but ... I did, and I showed in the question that. Also, I linked the meta post about it. And the guy just link me a "google-like-link-answer" and down-vote.
Ok down-vote, but ... this kind of question will be recurring on the SRSE
~kinda angry ... hate down-votes
I make an enforce to build a quality and acceptable Q&A
So I don't get 'downs'. BUT, if I got down-votes I think "This Q&A sucks, I should just delete it"
But, as @Fractaliste states, this IS a useful question ... What is making me angry is "Here is a list, I'll post as a comment so I don't lose my rep."
I'm looking for a plugging that can Indent code (html, css, php, asp, etc...) in the Notepad++
Requeriments
Work with Notepad++
Windows 7+
Must implement shortcut for it
No too much "heavy" (not more that the notepad++ itself)
Optional
May have other features
Able to define how to indent ...
80% of the questions on the site doesn't have "I tried the X and Y" nor similar things. so why the "what have you tried" thing, we are not at SO. (Ok, I know that this rule apply in most(all?) SE sites -_- just making a emphases here)
@Michel I think you are confused about A) who voted for what and B) why and what votes mean anyway. I DVed your question on main but not your one on meta. The one on main is useful (or would be if it wasn't basically a duplicate of two others) but your one an main did not show much research. It's not a matter of importance, it's a matter of you don't seem to have even referenced the available materials (list of available plugins) so answers would just be a rehash of existing materiel.
@Michel downvotes on Meta sites don't eat your rep. Votes there rather count as like/dislike, agree/disagree, etc, without "rating" (though that might be a side-effect).
@Michel If you want to improve your post about Notepad++ indentation you could ask for a cleaner plugin rather an auto-indentation one. Auto-indentation is included into the "cleaner" needs, but there it contains other interesting things like useless line deletion, ...
I couldn't resist and had to post a lengthy answer to Sams post despite my better judgment. Would you have a look and ensure that I didn't treat him unfairly? meta.softwarerecs.stackexchange.com/questions/601/…
I am looking for a tool to embed into a website which will allow users to edit photos.
Requirements
I'd like it to run on as many clients as possible, so HTML5 or JavaScript.
I'd like it to host it myself, no having to iFrame to another domain or anything.
Open source preferable but not esse...
@Izzy Not really. It's not supposed to be normative for all questions (ergo no migration path by default), but if a question is truly off topic and getting closed AND it it topical for a beta AND actually a good question, migrating is at left as a discretionary option for mods.
The Software Recommendation site is now in public beta. All software recommendation questions will now be migrated there. If you see a new software recommendation question please flag it for migration. Please do not flag old questions as they are not allowed to be migrated.
@Caleb OK, that sounds reasonable. Still, as we hold it on Android Enthusiasts: migration should only be proposed by members active on the target site (to ensure it meets the target site's criteria).
He, that one was a good case for my canned-responses script :)
@Braiam =:-0
"All software recommendation questions will now be migrated there."
okay, am going to ask here, are questions asking for a suitable software gem for sending data from an image sensor to an excel spreadsheet even be remotely on topic?
@Izzy Yes that is a good idea. People shouldn't be flagging to get rid of a question if they aren't going to be the ones dealing with it on the other end.
@Caleb Good point. My point was just "if they don't know the target site might consider it crap/OT/unfitting". Otherwise it's like "...they don't know what they're doing".
I first encountered Caleb on Unix & Linux where he impressed me by the quality of his answers. He also has an impressive record of editing, flagging, leaving helpful comments and other positive contributions. He is very level-headed, and has amply demonstrated his ability to moderate a diffic...
@Gilles Done. And updated all "answers" where profiles have been missing. Looks a bit more unique now. (was tempted to put mine somewhere – but resisted, as I didn't want to be guilty for "ruining another's chances" #D)
@Izzy I really would like Caleb aboard because he has a proven track record. But everyone has to start somewhere! It's good to have a mix of experienced people and fresh eyes.

IIRC one of the SE staff said he tried to find something like “one SE expert, one topic expert, and one wildcard” (not quoting exact words)
I don't know if that reflects actual practice, I've never figured out what goes into mod selection
Don't worry about “ruining another's chances”, there's a good chance that we'll start with 4 or 5 mods (it's happened before on sites that were predicted to require more than the usual amount of moderation)
@Amaterasu At least some updates are required: what phone (OS)? Are you going to "remove SDCard, put into laptop, ..."? Or should it work while the card is still inside the device?
@Gilles That's the point why I upvoted him! Btw: Are you decided meanwhile? Your nomination still lacks an "accept" or "decline".
@Gilles At least nobody can ruin mine, as I've not been nominated #D
I'd like to nominate Izzy (meta profile). He has been one of the most helpful and active users on this site since it started private beta, both in meta and on main. I think he would make a great moderator for this site.
git really isn't as scary as it sounds. Bazzar on the other hand.. well anyway. — Seth1 min ago
@Seth Backstory?
I came at bzr sideways having some git experience but needing to contribute to somebody elses project for a while. I found the patterns a little odd (git habits?) and never really mastered it, but that is probably because I never had to admin it, only used it a little. I didn't find it that scary, but I'd be interested in hearing a contrary opinion.
@Caleb from the CVS user point (mine particularly) of view bazaar is like the middleware between svn and DCVS... I just don't understand the branching mechanisms
@AngeloNeuschitzer That seemed pretty specific. I'm fine with it. We should warn them, but if they have stuff that good we should get one of their mods in here so we can give thumbs up or down before migration.
@Undo It's been plastered all over the Teachers Lounge where all mods are supposed to hang out at least occasionally and several broadcast messages have gone out to the mods of tech sites. Even mods take some educating and there are hundreds of them.
I'd like to nominate Izzy (meta profile). He has been one of the most helpful and active users on this site since it started private beta, both in meta and on main. I think he would make a great moderator for this site.

Throughout the beta, we need members from this site whose focus is to engage the community, both in community-building issues and site management. That's why we select a few members from each community to act as temporary, provisional Moderators. You can read about the program here: Moderators Pr...
@Gilles Nah. You forgot the purging routine. He didn't say "95% in on one end, and 95% clean out on the other". I'm pretty sure he was aware that while those 95% get "sucked in", only about 15% make it through.
Wow! Congrats @Gilles & @Undo! Long live our new mods!
> I have users to contact for additional slots, but I wanted to get these folks activated before things really started to take off.
That's a good thing Robert did! Getting us started with two (so we don't have to rely on the CMs too heavily), while checking how to complete the crew.
You wasted our time? It's our free* decision to help you. And there's no need removing your account, you might need it later! * free as in "free speech", though we don't mind a "free beer" either :)
There is an application by MIT called Scratch, which works by dragging and dropping commands into a script which can make the program move sprites (characters and objects), preform calculations, and change appearance.
You can download it here.
