@David pax

@David peas

11:01 PM
Fucking dell battery. One minute ago "18 minutes remaining". Now: "PLUG IN NAO OR I'LL SUSPEND"

Well, the dog stepped on the power strip on/off switch under my desk...
I think that was a sign to stop working.

I can't log in to the console session using remote desktop. :| It's pissing me off. Should I post a question on SU or SF?

@Tanner First check with us to make sure you haven't done something embarrassingly silly. (Of course, if you have, you'll still be embarrassed, just not quite as badly...)

Plus we get to mock you. Win-win

@Tanner I asked a question here once.. I wouldn't suggest you do the same.

11:10 PM
@mossy oh c'mon, it only bled a little
You didn't lose any bodyparts that mattered

Im kidding

@pauska still using Flux... do you like it fast or do you prefer the slower approach?

I would ask here first in all situations. Or TomTom will find you.
With that said, I'm going to make dinner.
Be back in a bit.

@mossy Meh, I've asked 5 :P I think mostly though I got pity upvotes for things like "halp! my NT server crashed!"

@ewwhite I prefer Gunnars.

11:14 PM
Glad the NT box is gone... now if I could just get rid of that 2000 one.

(not really)

@mossy A lot of my traders used those...
sitting in front of 6 x 30" screens.

Really!?
Hmm

@ewwhite produce or HFT?

@DennisKaarsemaker HFT.

11:16 PM
I want the COD frames.
They actually have some really nice looking frames.

I appear to have earned another Guru badge

Q: Linux 2.4 GNOME distro

BruceI am looking for it. Can't seem to find anything. Please provide links to iso files also. Thanks

@voretaq7 s/earned/cheated/

only in the comments do we find that this guy wants a distro with the Linux 2.4 kernel (and GNOME?!) to install MPLS Linux...
hopefully the correlation between ancient Linux, MPLS, and GNOME makes someone's head hurt. I had to spread the pain.

@DennisKaarsemaker what's the difference! Badges Badges Badges!

11:26 PM
@allquixotic I know there are troll^Wtest items in the review queues. Maybe SE is now doing test bullshit questions as well to test the mods?
@voretaq7 Mushrooms! Mushrooms!

@voretaq7 badges badges badges badges badges badges badges badges badges badges badges... muh-moderator!
and instead of "SNAAAAAKE!" ... hmm.. "BAAAAN!"

@allquixotic now you're getting the idea

So, my current entries on the star wall are VB, bed breaking and mushrooms. Here's to future employers never googling me!

@allquixotic troll, troll ooooooooooooooooh it's a troll!

@DennisKaarsemaker :D

@allquixotic Is there some other program/thing that is also named MPLS? I can't possibly imagine why someone would want a gui on a linux box doing Multiprotocol Label Switching

11:29 PM
I never could quite grasp the epistemological implications of badgers that are only capable of moving their arms and legs into one of two positions, being preoccupied with mushrooms and horrified of snakes.

@DennisKaarsemaker Evan?

@Zoredache or why they'd want to deploy Linux 2.4 in 2013

@voretaq7 I've heard that name, but haven't been on SF long enough to enjoy his company
@Zoredache Horrible misspelling of mepis?

@Zoredache no, they're definitely talking about Multiprotocol Label Switching.

A: Linux 2.4 GNOME distro

Michael HamptonStop trying to use ancient software right now. MPLS-Linux is a current (3.x) Linux kernel with MPLS support.

@DennisKaarsemaker Meep Meeps?

11:31 PM
"Stop trying to use ancient software right now." I think I should adopt that as my slogan

@voretaq7 mepis.org - another debian clone

@allquixotic Amazing what 30 seconds with Google can accomplish.

@DennisKaarsemaker mmhmm, It's now Meep Meeps Linux to me.

re: ancient software

They must change their logo to a roadrunner immediately or face... repercussions

11:33 PM
@allquixotic I would have explained it differently on SF. But it's SU...

@MichaelHampton differently as in, more harshly?

@voretaq7 the wile e. coyote version would be running gnome instead of KDE :)

@allquixotic No, I would have said you have to wait until the archaeology team leaves the server room.

someone suggested a full-mesh equivalent to OpenVPN a while back here. Can you remind me, if you are on?

@Zoredache ipsec tunnels between all sites?
I have that between my dsl router, my parents and a couple of vps'es and colo boxes.

11:45 PM
I think it was tinc that the person was talking about... tinc-vpn.org maybe. It wasn't IPSEC.

Somehow I get connected to the "Services" session using mstsc /admin?
Okay at this point I'd rather just ask a stupid question on the site than continue fighting with this :P

@Tanner that can happen?

Oh, if I finish the day with 187 rep, I'm going to kill someone.

I haven't repcapped in a week
I've been too busy finally being appreciated at my job now that I'm leaving next week

haha

11:51 PM
I've done more architecture design in the last 4 days than the last 9 months

@MichaelHampton ok, I'll downvote a bunch of your answers.

@DennisKaarsemaker You're soooo helpful.

I aim to please :)

Three minutes until my homicidal rampage!

11:59 PM
@MichaelHampton use a peice of wood
2x4 spree!
