I'm going to go blind straining to see slight variations in the color of a half-dozen pixels as I try to figure out who the hell I'm talking to or who's in the room.
Certainly!
If each server needed a server of its own, you'd end up with a horrific sort of pyramid scheme where the servers at the bottom wouldn't have any servers to call upon.

I just filled in the Image Information for all the images in the Rogues Gallery and disappointingly you don't get the names when you hover over them :(
Mary had a little lamb. The lamb had prions. Mary's entire stock had to be destroyed and the fields purged with fire. Mary is now living on subsidies in the dust bowl.
Out of curiosity, how many "stern tellings" have the goings-on in here resulted in? Or are Jeff & Joel pretty much at the "Sigh, shake your head and walk away looking disappointed" stage with SF Chat?
Sir.
I could not help but be struck by the similarity between Chopper3 and Evan Anserson. I wonder if they are related.
Yours etc,
Iain
With apologies to Private Eye's lookalikes
(actually they were a great client. Shit broke, you fixed it, you got them on a conference call and explained what broke and how much it would cost to fix it, they said "Do it")
And actually they didn't care so much about Star Alliance / Star Partners. They only became Angry Flying Germans when their cuslink servers would go wonky and they couldn't let people/cargo off the plane because customs was displeased.
@WesleyDavid I thought electing dysfunctional mental deficients to high office was our talent?

By the by, the FAA still doesn't exist. And congress went on vacation leaving it like that. Everyone feels safer now, right?
@wfaulk yes, and some FAA safety inspectors are dedicated to public safety and are actually going to work and traveling on their own dime with hopes of being reimbursed.
@wfaulk I'm wondering at what point ATC will run out of money and if/how they'll emergency-authorize funding for that.
I think the only way to make the american public wake up and see the dysfunction in the way the FAA / national airspace system are being mismanaged by Congress is to shut it down for a while because of congressional ineptitude
right guys - I've had an excellent day thanks to the whole epic/vmware/choppertars things thank you - going to go and spend some time with the kids - thanks again
I have a feeling that if we weren't already in danger of getting mod-smacked by Jeff and Joel, taking this to Area51 would probably seal the deal. So, that's a plus, right?
I mean, if you're going over the cliff, might as well floor the accelerator and crank the tunes, right?
@WesleyDavid "Welcome to our Q&A for the locations, variations, do-it-yourself instructions, schematics, maintenance, and photography of Paddington Bear rides"
Many of our top users seem to have avatars with a picture of themselves in a car with what appears to me to be Paddington Bear:
So what is the story behind this?
Long story short: I'm trying to read a program's STDOUT in PHP. Without select (PHP: stream_select) the reading blocks indefinitely.
I got it to work in very specific conditions, but it's not really stable.
I can configure the read length, and it currently works perfectly as long as the total being read is not a multiple of the read length (aka buffer size).
@ScottPack Well, his user number is 71770, so if you interpret it backwards as octal you get 4047. Raise 40 to the 47th power, sum the digits and you get 151 which is a palindrome. That's special enough.
