@Ryan Don't worry, it wasn't easy because I really didn't know what to do with the box and metal structure... I had to think about it. And the woman is gone. It was fun though!
@Ryan I had to stick some hairs too lol Pict was very dark!
@Ryan Did I changed too much stuff? I re-used all I could but wasn't sure if I had to only add a few elements and keep the same base OR re-do something with what you gave me.
No but you've said English isn't your first language. I mean I guess you could be a Japanese immigrant living in Vancouver... but French Canadian seems more likely.
.. or the more experience and knowledge you actually have.
Badges are a direct reflection of rep in most cases. They go hand in hand. You can't gain badges without gaining rep in most cases. The non-rep badges are either the first few you get or the last few you get.
@go-me You must not have had many clients or actual design recently then ;)
@Scott Sure, but it takes a good post to get the badges. So the number of badges represents the number of good posts as opposed to just the number of posts, the majority without many votes
True. But you get rep in order to get the badge. So it's difficult to state that badges are a better indicator. The only direct indicators are the "answer" badges.
@go-me lol the file I sent you started at 160mb so I scaled the resolution down. Your file was 60mb. Mine is back up over 100mb again :\ see if I can optimize it a little to make it lighter
I'm annoyed go-me. I'm not an ego maniac and I'm not insulting. I don't know what I've done to warrant how you refer to me. I don't even respond to your answers, I'm around becuase I'm freelancing and checking the site while I work.
Nah.. jsut a references that rep and badges mean you don't actually design or work couldn't possibly refer to the person with the most rep and badges.. yeah.. your'e right.. you're the innocent one.
Look Scott. You know stack exchange has a lot of stacks right? There's people with more rep than you in a lot of them. Get that? That's an investment of their time.
As I already told you, you could even stop posting and your rep would still go up. So frankly rep doesn't mean much after a few years for people who've been active. That's not an insult.
Nah these two need to sort it out, maybe they can work out their differences so we can all get along. There certainly wasn't anything wrong with what you said @ZachSaucier
Look I don't know why you think your'e "better" than me while continually discussing how "some people" do things out of ego. I've never disrespected you. I realize you have a lot of experience and I give you credit for that. Perhaps you fail to realize that I'm no "spring chicken" either.
well thanks for telling me. I would be stupid to think that Scott, you obviously know what you're doing. I won't lie, I've learn a few tricks from you in Illustrator.
The arguments you've posted on my answers have all pretty much been personal opinion arguments and pointed at insulting me. THAT is what I take issue with. Your'e free to disagree with me, but when you imply that I'm of a "war mentality" or I'm a "misogynist" you are stepping over the line,
I didn't even know you were female until earlier this week. I don't pay attention to you... I don't really read what you post anywhere unless it's a comment on one of my answers. So..... If you've annoyed me it certainly can't be for any reason other than how you've responded to me.
My theory... everything went south when I used the phrase "allow anyone to monkey around with your files" when posting to another user.
I'll still think it if you compare women to pets in 2 comments and by your choice of words. You are free to do this, I'm also free to find this not very delicate. And frankly, it's not like I'm the big feminist on your back, I mentioned this once to you! You're really taking notes eh.
I never called you a "monkey" or had any intention of that being inferred. The phrasing I used referred to clients and had nothing to do with any individual. However, since that time, you've made it a point to infer I'm some sort of problem by responding via comments on my answers. As well as the down votes (which I don't care about).
I changed that answer at freelance because you found it offensive. It was HUMOR THOUGH. You really shoudl lighten up.
I care beause you post comments implying I'm a misogynist and of a "war mentality"
YOU infer things about MY personality which are NOT true.
Clearly there's a chip on your shoulder. You've clearly determined that I'm an issue. So you passive-aggressively pursue that and then play it off when called out on it.
@Scott I remember reading this comment about monkeys and honestly go-me I didn't think it was directed at you. It was more, "you don't want inexperienced people to be messing up your files"
Simply put.... I've only ever commented on ONE of your answers. And that was to support you. So.. all of this is a direct reaction to YOUR comments go-me
@Ryan he's talking about one time..a question about a guy coder and his GF always bothering him. And Scott made a comment SHOOTing water at her" like one would do to a cat... and then later in his answer he said "he needs to train his GF". I found that quite dumb actually. Could be language barrier but still. That's when I think he started his "you're jealous of me" in his comments. I forgot about it, now he's bringing it back.
And as we've said, flag it and then move on - that goes for both of you. If the moderators of that SE see how it could be offensive they'll take care of it
he didnt call you a prepress monkey @go-me - he said you want to be careful because many people are so giving them a file that isn't ready could be trouble
so if thats what's started this it was a miscommunication
Point is... you are NOT some innocent little dove go-me. Pretending you are one isn't' working on me. YOU'VE got the ego here and you're doing an awful lot of projecting. Leave my posts alone as I leave yours alone and we'll have no issue.
"I hope that doesn't mean anything bad" -- as if retaliatory action may be taken against her for previous statements. Implying there's someone hunting her. Admittedly, It's a stretch in context there. So, I didn't really think that's what was meant.
@Go-me I didn't know you weren't a native English speaker until right now. So, perhaps that has been the issue.
I don't say this in a mean way, but being from Quebec does actually explain some of the passive-agressiveness of Go-me's posts. That's just kinda how things are in Quebec.
I pay uncle sam a few hundred dollars every year and still don't have health care. I'm part of the 3-10% the affordable care act hurts rather than helps.
yeah sorry guess thats what I meant. Friend's baby boy had a heart transplant. Doctors gave him a year and its been 3 now. They'd like to move either to Canada or Europe but there's no place they can go where they'd be able to get him the care for his heart instantly when needed
@go-me any idea what the right translation of "Hollow fire" would be. Its taken in english so thought of French as next option or italian. But Italian is "fuoco vuoto" which would be terrible
Nothing shows warmth and compassion more than saying "I tolerate you.". Soon to be widely available in greeting card format as a Hallmark store near you
@go-me I have this bookmarked to eventually show someone I know that worked for this company, but you'd probably get a kick out of it too askafrenchguy.wordpress.com/2012/02/07/…
the week of my birthday I decided to buy cheap steaks and had a steak with 5 eggs every morning for breakfast. Felt great! Just can't afford to do that every day
