@Matt_2.0 Dunno what you're referring to, but generally: comments aren't intended to be long-lasting, if there's a discussion on clarification or something then the post gets clarified, it's encourages to clean up the comments
You probably want to ask that in the JS room if you have the necessary SO rep. Anyway, what exactly do you mean "by any form element"? A site can use JS even if no forms are used at all.
@Matt_2.0 As John mentions, comments are usually cleaned if the information was added to the question, or if the question was closed for example. I'll take another look.
"Our senses of smell can even affect productivity in office environments. Specific smells have been found to increase alertness which in turn results in higher productivity rates. One study found that when lemon oil was diffused throughout a Japanese office building, productivity among data entry operators increased by 54%. Scents can also be used to ward off mid-afternoon brain fog by revving your concentration levels."
And candles, specifically, are an awful idea in most businesses. Smoke allergies are fairly common, as are smoke detectors rigged to alarms, sprinklers, and the fire department.
when I did wireframing in photoshop my client(s) would almost always tell me: "Ahh.. but those are not the colors we talked about" or "I think we should change this font"
@Yisela I'm using it for a client project at the moment, part of the reason is to show him and get it approved but it's also for me to plan the aesthetics and structure.
not the colors though
it's a limited palette
Could argue that it's not so great for responsive design, but what is
While I agree in essence, my experience on rpg.se says that when people are told to make their questions broad enough to be useful to others, they think that means widening the scope beyond their own problem to the point that answers might not actually be useful to the original asker.
Good questions are specific but generalizable, not generalized from specifics.
"This is my problem. People with similar problems will be interested in it." is not the same as "This is a generic issue many people have. I have a specific problem that falls into its category."
The second produces vague answers that may or may not be useful because of the poster's specific circumstances.
The first provides answers that demonstrate techniques for how to address specific circumstances, many of which will be useful to other people even if they don't have that exact problem.
"Amazon Webstore is Amazon’s stand-alone eCommerce platform, allowing you to run your online direct-to-consumer business on Amazon’s secure, scalable technology."
The problem is that when we tell people that questions are better if they're useful to other people, then the poster is likely to artificially expand the question's scope.
I am playing D&D 4e and I have a question about how I can create an excellent pirate adventure. Since people have pirate adventures in other RPG systems, and Stack Exchange is about useful answers, should I tag my question with dungeons-and-dragons or maybe system-agnostic in order to cover a wid...
Should be an option in one of the first side menus, perhaps under "Recently Closed." It'll say "restore last X tabs," where X is the number of tabs before you closed the browser.
also it's showing a list of tabs from all my devices, and I have a lot of tabs open, also two different sets of tabs in two browsers.. I think it's a bit of a fail by Google but that is hard to do..
They should add the option for an "are you sure?" alert
