2 hours later…
12:26 PM
morning

hey @Darth, what's up?

just working on a site
you?

same :)

started tracking bad requests, a little scary what some are trying to do

yeah, I am slowly installing iThemes Security on all my sites

12:53 PM
@joojaa your transpose answer seems to be a comment

@Ryan why?

it doesn't answer How to transpose only says its possible and then ends by asking, "Wouldn't it be easier to do X instead?"

Its says transpose is possibe but your not looking to transpose. So no it can not be done out of the box
Im not going to answer how to transpose because he is not asking how to transpose

so then wouldn't that fall under question clarification and be a comment

a transpose aof a image is 2 rimes mirror which sure as hell does not produce what hes looking for
No its not a clarification comment it tells that it can be done wut not automatically
@Ryan added more but no, theres no easier way than he is doing becsue theres no way to be magically more accurate for accurate measurements

1:02 PM
I saw, now it reads like an answer to me

hey @Ryan, new profile pic?

somewhat
and hi @PieBie

see? Weightlifting makes you old :P

hello is this graohic understandable
the points are all things that could be considered a center of a bézier

1:17 PM
kind of. You might want to emphasise the relevant centers of the blue and green rectangles with a bue and a green dot
using dots for the centers of gravity would be clearer as well

@joojaa if you explain it like that it's clear. I'm not sure I would've understood it by itself

@PieBie does that Germanism translate to English? :P

@Vincent I don't think so... maybe 'by itself'?

as-is

not quite the same thing

1:37 PM
if there would be a blue dot and a green dot I would definitely see the relation with the blue / green rectangles

4 hours later…
5:47 PM
such a quiet day

6:00 PM
hey pie

6:29 PM
I missed the explanation if there was one, is that a photo you took in your new avatar @Ryan?

yeah I took it a while ago @JohnB

Is that in Orlando? I did not know coats that heavy existed down there

yeah it was in Orlando
I don't think the photo got the love it deserved anywhere that I shared it. Its one of my favorites so decided to make it my avatar for a while

the clash of brands gives me the assumption that he's homeless

He may have been. No idea
There's a lot of nuance in it in my opinion. I wish I had a longer lens, the uncropped isn't very good because of it but I didn't want to get closer and disturb the shot
Just look at him gazing at what could have been his younger self. He was just staring at it

6:39 PM
what was the focal length of the lens?

it was with the 28-70 kit when I first got the camera

ah I thought it'd be longer

nope. Now I've got a very cheap 135mm prime I picked up off ebay for $20 as my longest lens

I do like the composition, it's thought provoking. The chromatic aberration is rough though, it immediately told me that the shot is cropped down

I've got a 24, 28-45, 28-70, 50, and 135

6:44 PM
I want to get a prime telephoto lens, do you use yours often?

which one the 50 or the 135?

135

No but it only cost me $20. It takes nice portraits but has pretty bad purple fringing

oh bummer about the fringing but I guess you can't expect too much for that price

if I were planning on shooting portraits professionally I'd be all about a 85mm prime. As it is I might rent one next time I shoot a model even though i wont be getting paid

6:51 PM
My mom used to be a photojournalist so she's got all kinds of nice toys. The next time I go hiking I'd like to bring my camera and see if I can borrow one of her super-telephoto lenses. I expect the request to be swiftly rejected :)

I believe I took that with the 135
thats completely unedited and uncropped

well at least it comes out sharp! Any luck reducing the purple in post editing?

I'm sure I could, didn't really try
if it wasn't such a sunny day it wouldn't have been as bad

yeah it looks most noticeable in her hair and shadows
