I think that was the ice breaker... Ive tried to come up with adding more interesting questions and content other than always Adobe this and that I think I will stop for awhile.
I wanted to get a job a year back at the local paper, still might, but I could take the bus and its like 1.25 a day all day pass. WAY cheaper than driving
I dont want to adjust my mental state of design right now. I will at the end of this month migrate over to starting to mentally go to code. Since it is also the start of my busy season and I will be doing a lot more 60 hour weeks
it appears to be a legit answer but at the request of SO we are not supposed to accept links to tutorials because in a year that tutorial may be taken offline. It is asked to suggest to the answeree that something similar to the tutorial be added.
Hey all, anyone know of tutorials on manually adjusting lettering in illustrator? Not kerning and type on path stuff but detail work like thickening a bar or shortening the serif without messing up everything else
@Ryan you wont' find any. Outlined type is merely shapes. Adjusting the paths and anchors of a shape is the same regardless of what that shape represents.
So.. I've got to have a conversation with a guy I subcontract for. He seems to think my payment is dependent upon him getting payment from his client. That's not how subcontracting works. At least not to me.
so.. I bought like 6 little things on Amazon from the same company. I receive the order and it's missing an item. I send email to the seller via Amazon. Seller replies with "Was the package opened or damaged?" No problem. Expected that. Then "We video tape all our packaging, I'll review the tapes. Please ensure the items wasn't merely overlooked." Errr... okay.... go ahead and look at the video (if you actually have one)... I found that so hilarious. As if I was trying to scam them out of $15.
I was pissed when a neighbor saw another neighbors crackhead friend still my package off my front porch.. but then that was also UPS fault to leave the package at the edge and not to the side.
UPS is hilarious. I've had them make me sign for a $20 item, then leave a $4000 computer just sitting on my doorstep. I realize the signature is sometimes sender driven.. but really.
They have NO CLUE how to drive innovation the way Jobs did
Stock's been fine. But this past 6 months has been interesting. The new redesigned MacPro sneek peek and now the missed iPhone opportunity. It won't be as strong in 3 months.
Things are heavily biased though. Apple zealots paint Apple in a better light. Apple haters paint Google in a better light. The thing about Apple is there are so many people that just buy into the "hate this company" with no real reason as to why.
I've lost track of the poepl who tell me "I Hate Apple" and I ask.. ever used a Mac? only to hear "uhm, No. Why would I?/ I hate Apple."
I'm amazed there's no Near Field or pressure support or SOMETHING new abotu teh iPhone 5s other than a faster processor more storage and a fingerprint reader
World is full of stupid people with blogs that can sway public opinion.
