I have found that you can mess with the merchant guy

but it's not exactly a programmer trick

@nitsua60 I just made him lower his inflated prices man, all I did was click on a couple things

@doppelgreener yeah, I am pretty sure of that too

@trogdor The first time I played it it definitely got to a point where I'd go on one quest per day, then let it run in the background so that I could afford the next thing, or eat more candies, or whatever.

Then come back the next day for a second shot at whatever killed me.

I think there are keyboard shortcuts for the scrolls and potions? First letter, perhaps?

@nitsua60 it is real slow, and the only way to speed it up is using potions and scrolls, but unless they actually cause you to complete a quest you wasted the candies on them

well, you can speed things up with the Sorceress too, but that in itself takes waiting for Lolipops to accumulate

@trogdor what's your lollipop production rate right now?

it's 100per second

it doesn't seem to increase beyond that

yeah, not yet. That's all you get from farming them IIRC

I figured out that on the stairs all I had to do was grab an imp summon scroll

and once the necromancer kills the imp, she realizes it was a bad idea 10 seconds afterwards when she dies XD

nope

I made one healing potion, and then when I tried to make the next easiest potion I failed at it and lost the candy involved, because the instructions are exceptionally vague on how long to mix for or something

I don't know how to make sure I know exactly how to make a potion without trail and error, and basically that means wasting resources

the 20 seconds is time since you started mixing, not time since you completed the previous step

I always do the trial-and-error at the 1 potion level, then make batches of ten or so once I've got it.

that doesn't tell me the very specific amount of time they want me to mix for

@nitsua60 that is all fine and dandy, but if I go all the way over to the seed potion thing, I think that costs a lot even at the one potion level

650 candies is a lot? What's your candy production rate?

it's not so much for one try

but how many times do I have to trail and error it before I get the full formulae?

I mean, the cost does go up every time you do it XD

and the amount it increases your production rate by is pitifully low at the start

I can turn candy into lp,... but the lp goes up a lot faster, so that doesn't seem too profitable at the moment

@trogdor right. When the numbers get right the sorceress' ability to buy candy for lp, then the converter's ability to turn candy into lp gets you a perpetual-candy machine =)

I imagined as much

I just don't have anywhere near that at the moment

also, I am guessing that there is an item that increases lp production

not sure about candy though, cause I have not hit any kind of cap on increasing that

@doppelgreener I'd be wary about making a single, all inclusive Exalted tag. The editions are very different, and somewhat polarizing among players. I'm pretty firmly in the 2.5e camp, myself.

still, for some of the later ones they don't specify mixing time, so those might be harder
