I've voted to close the 5e materials nominations thread for reasons expressed in the comments there. That being a close vote cast on meta, it's not receiving much attention even through review queues, so I'm linking it here so it can get some attention. (If others don't agree it should be closed, so be it.)

@Noein I don't think it is off topic. We have a product-identification tag full of questions along those lines: "I vaguely remember a thing. Here's everything I remember about it. What the heck was this thing?"

@waxeagle at the time, it was only four days after the poll thing was even suggested and whilst there was support, there was not consensus nor a "yes! let's do this"

if there was a "yes! let's do this" I'd be happy to go "hey you should go nominate yourself here" to people who have an interest in D&D Next

plus note there are five unicorn points on my comment expressing my initial concerns

at the moment, nominations have stopped and a couple of nominees deleted their nominations

but, in general, the nominations question was opened way, way too soon
