I'll have to change my email layout, but it's doable. For now everything funnels into my hosted account. But I can turn that around and use the gmail instead. In '04 had a friend who threatened to "fill" me gmail. She never did :)
It's not the 10GB, it's the 3 accounts. In my case, that's plenty, but for a "going concern" it could be limiting. Of course, that's a "personal" server too.
The only thing that might be limiting is the single database.
Well, I gotta do my annual labs in a few hours. Gotta get things ready. Thanks for the links. Don't know how you find things so fast. I'm just not a mutli-tasker. All I can do is glance at it, maybe scan it, and bookmark it for later research.
@JourneymanGeek It takes at most 5 minutes to compile heavy stuff directly on the server, and you can compile locally before uploading it to the server when you are sure it almost works, you could also use python or stuff like that If you don't like compiling I suppose.
@Bob I've generally got 25-100 tabs open at the same time.
Suppose I have a webpage located at http://www.website.com with an <iframe> in it. Like this:

Now suppose someone goes to www.website.com and clicks a link in the iframe itself (this link i...

> Cisco Systems said that more than 300 models of switches it sells contain a critical vulnerability that allows the CIA to use a simple command to remotely execute malicious code that takes full control of the devices. There currently is no fix.
@JourneymanGeek I dealt with them before, they have a system where if you keep having trouble with your connection for about 40+ minutes they start trying to reverse the connection
he closed his connection with me after doing he horseporn thing (I managed to quickly get both of the commands in and the format c but did not see the output)
@JourneymanGeek I'm not precious about my rep, but if you've got some on the bot that you need to burn then feel free to offer. He's not awarded yet or replied.
@JourneymanGeek yeah, the ones that go viral are always the ones you just post as a throwaway answer. Case in point, my latest one about what a "tunnel" is. (sorry @DavidPostill) before it got edited it was just a basic rubbish metaphor type thing.
Not everything. I tried putting my drink in one end of a VPN tunnel once, and not only was it not waiting for me at work, but my computer stopped working for some reason. — HopelessN00byesterday
We have a camera on a specialised router (for boats) that need the router to connect either to a dyndns service (through the port's wlan or through a 4G+ data card) or a VPN service we will have to set up
In the end, the end user (customer) wants to use an app on his phone to connect to the camera (basicly he needs to enter the IP / host of the camera into the app)
So I need a way to get a glomex router to somehow consistently connect to a DynDNS service (already tried with the steps laid out in the user manual, doesn't work since the router is beneath the main router of the harbor)
@Mokubai, exactly what I was thinking regarding viral questions/answers! In the relatively short time I have been here, my top two answers regarding up-votes were each typed and posted in less than a minute. It really is rather surprising!
@Magisch Buy $5 PiZero, install DynDNS service, connect to router and power source, call it a day. Well, that's what I'd do as a guy not selling it as a solution to a client.
