and my question, can an AMD7970 be whooped by a AMD480 for normal HD(1920) video gaming, and use much less power to do so? Answer is yes, gets about 30% better speed, and averages 30% less power.

the 7970 already was "fast enough" for every game out there to be fully playable at regular HD. I only ever tweaked display settings down before and used V-sync, to cool it out some, and reach 60fps constant, with minimal impact on the picture. (sometimes took it off ultra).

I am trying to check how a software would behave if there is a network failure. That software is using tcp send() and recv() to communicate. This has got to be one of the funniest questions ive read all day.

The purpose of loopback interface IS to allow you to still access a service that's running when the network DOES fail from the local machine.

Is he trying to simulate "loopback" interface failing?

So I have used Acronis True Image for years. I am very happy with it, but like a good chuck of the experienced users who own it, I am discourage by features being removed in the most recent versions. Can anyone suggest any other tool with a similar feature set, the one feature that I must have, is restoring to dissimilar hardware.

Bought it in 2004 and it runs Windows 8.1 like a champ so going to put Windows 10 on it and use it for another 12 years ;-)

Of course that likely won't happen because eventually a Windows 10 build won't support it.

The position I want, in the city I want, is a different series then I am in. I could get into that series, but I just go into the position I am currently in, and I am enjoying the heck out of it. Choices...Choices...

Looks like I should start studying for my MS certifications in order to overcome not being in the right series (despite) doing that work half of the time.
