Q: Does 0.0.0.0:0 and *:* represent the same thing?

I used netstat (in Windows) to view the listened ports for TCP and UDP: I noticed that in the Foreign Address column, UDP displays *:* instead of 0.0.0.0:0, do these two values represent the same thing? if so, then why does UDP displays *:* instead of 0.0.0.0:0?

One thing I hate about NVIDIA: Licensing restrictions enforce vendor lock-in. NVIDIA does not license PhysX to AMD, does not allow developers to optimize GameWorks for competing hardware, and (presumably) does not allow display manufacturers to implement both G-SYNC and another dynamic refresh rate technology on the same display (otherwise you'd see displays with both).

So... A few weeks ago, I looked into what would have been my most ambitious effort yet to improve my behavior.

Benjamin Franklin spent huge amounts of time improving his personal conduct and went out of the way to set up a journal to record any faults he had committed.

I'm evaluating doing something like this, modified to fit my specific behavioral goals.

Is it worth the time and effort? Are there simpler solutions?

I was looking into making a behavioral log document where I would record any noteworthy events (from a disciplinary standpoint) for each day.

Franklin's day started at 5 AM. Currently, I'm still struggling to get out of bed by 9 AM :\

(I'm aiming for a consistent 7 AM wake-up time.)

My only tips are as follows: Find a good therapist - let it out there, try not to bring it here or anywhere else. Exercise more, watch your diet, forgive yourself - forgive others more than yourself.

Start loving who you are - stop flagellating yourself when you make mistakes. And don't dwell on past mistakes.

find a therapist to talk to - a bunch of them operate on a "sliding scale" which means they will see you even if you can't afford to pay them very much

try to identify external influences negatively effecting your mood and behavior and remove yourself from them

All the people testing , have not represented thier testing method well enough to determine where thier resistance losses are , WHY?

There can be HUGE variations in the power draw from the PCI port depending on the wire type, ammount of connections and even length of wire, how much copper etc.

Take for example a Modular power supply, and the 2 power connections that will be used to power a GPU.
Sometime the 24pin wire (to PCIslots) is short, it is often connected direct (not one added modular connection)
Many times the GPU wires are much longer , longer even still than the 24pin connection and the very copper very well done PCI power connect traces on the MB.
The AMD 480 referance model only make 3x power connection (+3 ground), the PCI itself makes 5.

Generally no GPU really required before that there be 2x8pin or 2X6pin, as 100 watts could potentially flow through each of these wires without even them heating. especially if they used good copper, which the PSU creators Fail on often.

But by Passing the power over more "metal" even if it is crappy wire, there is less resistance (or losses)

so there are basically 3 solutions, or things to pay a little bit of attention to when building (any) computer, when trying to reduce the GPU power draw on the PCI bus.
1) Wait till someone makes a AMD 480 with 2XGPU wiring (6 or 8 does not matter)
2) Rebuild your modular GPU wiring with half descent wiring .
3) just generally check how bad off your PSU setup would make that, before turning it on.

Does anyone indicate that? no, instead it is AMD is going to throttle it even more :-(

https://youtu.be/ZjAlrGzHAkI?t=100 at this point in time of the video we can see the testing method they are using, the wire set, the connections. it is extensive to test using this method ( a job itself). but without extended LAB type analisis , and much more extensive math, and rechecking, and dropping the extensive resistance from bussbars, and connections, and in so much as using extreeme wiring.
The testing method can be slightly flawed.

Beyond the testing method being very hard to accomplish, the variation that will exist in everyone Elses setups , each builds (different computer) differances would be like night and day difference in what they discover.

(do they say that either? no!)

To summay a bit better. a GPU is connected using 2 Sets of "wiring". The motherboard 12V 24 pin connection to the PCI. and the GPU 6or8 pin wiring. Offsets in total resistance (or quality and length) between these 2 power sources, can change the ammount of draw from the more critical PCI port power wiring.
