what browser?
Chrome?
odd your face does not get picked up by the service regardless

That's what they call a "Dutch Shave". It's so close, you get beard-proof.

lol

What happens when you got linux at work and windows at home? dir, cls and cd on linux, ls and CTRL+L on windows

@RudáAlmeida lol
umm... doesn't cd work the same on everything?
I'm pretty sure even your toaster can do cd properly
cd toast; popd

@allquixotic cd.. vs cd ..

9:22 PM
@OliverSalzburg I've never done cd.. before O_O
always cd ..

@allquixotic Works on Windows

that's terrible
there isn't a cd...exe is there?

:D
It's a built-in IIRC

couldn't you alias cd.. to cd ..

Relic from MS-DOS times most likely

9:24 PM
@rlemon I live in a pretty uncool town, but Victoria is just freakin' beautiful!

@allquixotic Humm, no idea
I can't remember the last time I've used an alias
...on an OS made by Microsoft

@OliverSalzburg I meant on bash

Windows doesn't have CLI - thats rubbish.
they have fake CLI
ohh how I loath using windows command line

@rlemon I bet my GF must be glad my Prodent smile is Mustache proof :)
I'm running Chrome Beta, but I'll try again after rebooting

@allquixotic Oh, yeah, you can

A: Should we outright ban a few tags when we know they don't belong here?

Jeff AtwoodI don't know why this has -10, it's not a bad suggestion. However it is not a new one. For a long, long time people have suggested that certain tags which have a very high question count on other sites, generate warnings such as: Hey! It looks like you're writing a letter! No wait, let me...

I think we all know why it's at -10 Jeff...

@IvoFlipse eh should still work - again the page needs a refresh - but yea.
great stuff like this
@Tanner dude... you need to grow this!
you look so sophisticated!

O_o
Wish I could.
I'd wear a top hat and a monocle too.

glare looks off at that resolution
@Tanner i'm sorry I have failed you

9:55 PM
Oohhh, new Gravatar =D
Now people will definitely take me seriously.

lol

@Tanner Thanks for the shout out

No problem =D

@Tanner if you accept gifs I can also make you wink

9:56 PM
We can't have animated Gravatars can we?
@TuralTeyyubogluAliyev G'day chap!

Do anyone have good experience in hdd's?

ok last image I swear guys

Recently I dropped my external hdd wdc.com/en/products/products.aspx?id=640
from abot 1 m height
it works well
but I want to be sure that
if it has no damage
How can I check, do anyone know?

1 min ago, by Tural Teyyuboglu Aliyev
it works well
that's all there is to check

@allquixotic I mean, I want to check if any part not damaged

10:04 PM
if any part were damaged, it wouldn't work. I mean, there's no real way to damage a hard drive partially so that it works but is damaged. it's binary: either it works or it doesn't. if it had a problem it would probably make a noise.
I'm assuming you've already checked SMART status

10:29 PM
Why do I keep getting YouTube ads for hair coloration? O__o

ZYoutube has adds?
I guess my blockrs work

So I'm not liking this USB 3.0 thing...
Still not mature enough IMO
Keep having problems getting everything to play nice and go fast.
Today I needed to take 40 GB of files from an old machine and stuff it in a new one. I had been using the external drive bay with the new machine at 3.0 after some fiddling around. So when I drove to the site to swap out the machines, I pulled out the old drive, shoved it in the bay, and went to transfer the files. USB 2.0. :| Windows keeps telling me to plug in to a SuperSpeed port, which it was. Dunno what happened.

@Hennes I like to support the channels I watch, but not with ads like these :D

11:21 PM

@barlop Okay...

Creepy?
"When I open a PDF in Word it's really slow." :|

11:39 PM
@Tanner LOL. translating all that binary data into UTF-8 or whatever charset Word uses, I bet.
Word: "umm... h3wA  h wA =A   =A  5A
;=0A )؉C̋5A ;=0A  A -A %A =A t =A  %|A  9   t <t isn't in my English dictionary"
(those characters are from a random snippet of FASM.EXE opened in Word)

hahaha
