@LeeWoofenden The question of whether a religion teaches X is separate from the question of whether X is true. This is a core foundational philosophy of this site; it's what allows me to participate here (not much, these days). And it means that Skeptics could answer that question.

@TRiG I suppose. But it seems to me that Jews familiar with the Talmud would likely be more qualified to answer it. And in fact, it did receive some solid answers before it was closed as too broad.
