@Caleb There is a pastoral advice question on the C.SE.

@Onlyheisgood. That is your own original research , sounds nice but far from truth.

Q: Is this question a duplicate?

Double UIs it okay to ask a question here that is actually more specific than an earlier question on the same subject matter? My question: Who developed the doctrine of inerrancy first - Catholics or Protestants? Their question: What is the history of the doctrine of inerrancy? I think my question wou...

@DoubleU ① That would have been a job for a VTC flag/vote, not a chat ping. ② Next time something like that happens in comments, flag it and drop it rather than perpetuate it! ③ You'll keep yourself out of a lot of trouble if you actually stick to using the recommended comment for pastoral advice questions rather than trying to cook your own every time.

@Islam It is convenient to think that I lie about this since it demolishes a perspective of to read Muhammad pbuh. However reading Acts 5, Galatians 5, Romans 11-12, and you will find that the Apostle Paul agrees with me. So know this is not my original research and that the Truth stands "with me". So do not temp the Sword. With my prayer indeed Allah would cut you down. However I am showing you mercy, and give you opportunity to bear good fruit worthy of repentance.

@Caleb I now have a bookmark on that page. Hopefully, finding an automated answer would be faster now.

@Onlyheisgood. Paul is itself a controversial figure and cannot supercede what Jesus said. Do you know there are christian sects which discard Paul?

3:57 PM
@Islam I don't know, but discarding Paul would probably mean discarding some of the letters supposedly written by Paul. And that would mean taking away books of the Bible. According to Revelation 22:19, nothing may be added or subtracted from the Bible.
And the following video shows the danger of taking away books, assuming a Catholic perspective.

Q: Can lay Catholic groups that dissent from the Vatican still be used as sources even though the subject matter does not seem to be controversial?

Double UCan lay Catholic groups that dissent from the Vatican still be used as sources even though the subject matter does not seem to be controversial? To put it in context, my response to this question used the National Catholic Reporter, which, according to Geremia, is not Catholic. Geremia is probab...

anyone watching the Super Bowl today?

@Mr.Bultitude Me! Go Seahawks! :D

@El'endiaStarman Are you from that area?

@Islam If you want to hear it from the Mouth of Jesus that is great he has said it to: "So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”" (John 8:7 NKJV)
"You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ 39 But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. 40 If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also." (Matthew 5:38-40 NKJV)
"If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned." (John 15:6 NKJV)
"And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28 NKJV)
"But bring here those enemies of mine, who did not want me to reign over them, and slay them before me.’" (Luke 19:27 NKJV)

7:41 PM
This last reference could be confusing without the full understanding.
"The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matthew 13:41-42 NKJV)
So it is now the duty of the Angels to slay the Men, by order of the Son of Man. Allah is very clear "Do not Kill".

@Mr.Bultitude I lived in Seattle (specifically, at University of Washington) during two separate summers.
Also, the team has a deaf player. :D

@Islam Ha! Cuz Mohammed was much more reliable and trustworthy. Really, there's little reason to trust and believe either.
@Islam Or they could both decide that they're belief is invalid and unite under an umbrella of promoting human life, instead of human afterlife.
> Trying to place what you believe into a single word is difficult at best, and laying down the three terms, theism, atheism, and agnosticism, and demanding that all persons fit neatly into only one of them is not fair to them and does a great disservice to the greatest of all human quests: finding meaning in our lives. - From one of my answers on EL&U
It seems like we agree.
I think I'm just starting to get annoyed having to explain what I believe and think these days every time the subject comes up.
