Yeh well that image is not rude or abusive, or NSFW, in any shape or form. Honestly if otherwise OK posts are being deleted via SmokeDetector for having an image like that then there is something seriously wrong with the system. That image shouldn't have been in the post, sure, but it should have been edited out and locked at worst; the whole post being nuked by SmokeDetector for it is in itself abusive IMO. — Cai19 mins ago

@QPaysTaxes no, but Cai was claiming that Smokey nuked the post automatically and therefore was badly designed. As the system designer, I have something to say about that :)

My concern was first to defend Smokey from misconceptions. If he cares to argue further about the post's appropriateness, I'll pull the diamond card.
Is there a polite way for me to grab the entire metasmoke history of posts short of scraping metasmoke.erwaysoftware.com/posts and all the links? Also, the older posts (e.g. the last pages) on MS aren't really accessible, guess db stuff changed over time, is there a way to get those posts as well (specifically site + post id on that site or site + original post text)?
@JasonC In theory, the API will give you the lot, but there's something like 600 pages of that, which is probably 10 hours of requests. In practice, I can ping you a not-quite-current-but-still-pretty-good copy of the metasmoke database.

Is there any way for normal people to grab a list of all posts on a site deleted as spam/offensive (presuming I have privileges to view them)?
All routes I've explored are dead ends:
Archive.org data dump: Does not include deleted posts.
SEDE: Drops body text from deleted spam/offensive posts....
@angussidney I don't know how to access it. @ArtOfCode gave me a dump earlier but the dump messed up the character encoding and ended up with lots of literal ?s. I didn't see a reason to take up more of anybody's time there. Also I'm not sure how far back the MS database goes.

@YvetteColomb You can throw a GitHub issue on it, but my vote would be [status-declined]. Bonus points if you include an alternative that is (1) meaningful, (2) a different color, (3) universal enough across browsers/OSes, and (4) big enough to be seen on a non-Retina display.
