Ask Patents are special. On Google's patent page there is a link "discuss this application". Clicking it drops you to Ask Patents with some data prefilled.

This idea didn't pan out as expected. Most of Patents traffic is people clicking that link and not knowing anything about Stack Exchange. So they post ... stuff.

Many of them think it's a direct link to Patent holder.

For this reason, I'm not flagging this one as spam. The user appears to think they are sending a message to patent owner.

There's a custom off-topic reason for that: "not a direct link to the patent holder"
