almost done with signup.

@Undo How long did that take you?

around an hour, give or take

That reminds me, @Undo you never played with Charcoal. :(
I made it use the Bootstrap CDN, too!

busy :P
gives up on Laszlo

@Undo So you're too buzy for Charcoal, but you still work on Blaze and spar with Laszlo, eh? :P

6:56 PM
heh
The problem is that we kinda aren't supposed to be using Charcoal.
So why should we work on it?

@Undo ... so I can use it against you on SR?

meh

If you wanna flag that one question with something like that it'd be much appreciated.
More flags should raise it higher in the diamond queue.

@Undo Mes is empty :(

6:58 PM
hehe

@Undo k, I'll flag.
finds tab in mess of tabs

I don't think they use historical lock for questions that were not good fit when they were posted..

well it needs some kind of lock.

It seems like an alright question tbh

7:00 PM
(IMO)

I don't see how it's primarily opinion based
It shouldn't be deleted with the vote count it has though, that's for sure

I have an idea for a new chatroom description:
> The chatroom where SE is hacked, people sound dumb [everyone else does, why not?], and moderators loose, and use, their diamond hammers. Helpful links: [dadadada]
Yeah... historical sounds good to me.

I don't think they use historical lock for questions that were not good fit when they were posted..
It would allow people to post off-topic, but popular questions

looks at lock reasons

and gain reputation for something they should not have

7:02 PM
hmm

@3ventic They would if it was or it wasn't locked. A historical lock would cease voting

ideally people just wouldn't delete vote it :P

Historical lock isn't used if the question isn't highly voted..
Well, yeah
but some people have this "if it's closed and not a dupe, it should be deleted" mindset

> Can we have a historical lock for this question? [Apparently there's 6 delete votes on this question](chat.meta.stackoverflow.com/transcript/message/1971710#1971710), but it seems to have good information and is a bad candidate for deletion.
@Undo ^

markdown doesn't work in flags afaik..

7:05 PM
me like

@3ventic It does if you don't have trailing commas. :P

hmm

^ That would work.

markdown works

k

7:07 PM
does not work in decline reasons :P

Ooh, @Undo you can poke people's chat profiles now. :D

or accept reasons

@hichris123 eh?
@hichris123 I don't see any new buttons

@Undo Refresh a person's details via API. Not quite sure how it works....

linky?

7:08 PM
@Undo I meant with a diamond.
@Undo Gah, that would be a lot of chat transcript searching.

like force refreshing from the parent site?

Yup.

Yup, we've always been able to do that
that's how you remove someone's diamond

But you need a diamond to do it.

yeah

7:10 PM
Yep.

yay!

A: No results from mysqli query result when using bind_result

Your Common SenseIt is always a great amusement to see a question that is based on the lack the most basic learning, and a handful of hastily written answers, each of those failed to correct these extremely basic issues. This. Is. Sparta Overflow!!!

Grrr..... why isn't javascript working?

Thanks! Works great now...

8:40 PM
@Undo Nothing.

[red-freehand-circle-plz]

Okay!
Gimme a sec.
@Undo ^

what's it do?
It should kick you over to the log in tab
and then you can use your new creds

It does nothing.

will it let you log in with them?
actually, lemme check the db
weird
uhmm...
sigh I dunno

8:46 PM
@Undo What?

it doesn't show up :P

Q: Clearing chat pins results in a self-imposed moratorium on future actions

Hmm... @Undo can I have a copy of the Blaze database?
(local testing)

there's like nothing in it.
just a minute

yay, I figured it out.

CREATE TABLE `flags` (

Ooh, okay.

Hey @Undo how do you do the fancy slide down thingy on the login/signup box? I know it's simple, but I never looked it up (partly because I wasn't sure what search terms to use)

oh ok.
Hm, but report: I can't hit enter to activate the button.

yeah :P
[status-not-by-design]

lol

9:25 PM
O...kay.

@Seth Beat you to it. :D
Hey @Andy!

hah :P

@Andy Do you have a local copy of that? I'm wondering if it still has false positives, like I can't foo the bar when 123456789.

Q: How do I use 2 ultrasonic sensors to control a 5v motor?

Master Ivin ChickenSheepI've hooked up two ultrasonic sensors to my breadboard and I also got a 5v motor installed. I also got the diode installed and the usual set up. I can easily control the motor with one sensor. But what I'm trying to do is I want the motor to run at let's say 100 once I start it up: The first ...

I like 'em
might... try to make them smaller :P

10:32 PM
@Undo But how do I compress a GIF.... all my hard work.... should I put them in a spoiler blockquote?
Or just links?

No, make the GIF smaller :P
Either way, I'd say go ahead and use 'em.

@Undo How do you compress a animated GIF?

Physically smaller.

half the width and height

Not hard-drive-space wise :P

10:33 PM
compressed gifs look bad anyway

A: How do I use 2 ultrasonic sensors to control a 5v motor?

Annonomus PersonThis is very simple using the map() instruction. Here's the code you would use (feel free to modify values: int speed = 112 + map(distance_1, 0, 20, 0, 112) - map(distance_1, 0, 20, 0, 112); So if both sensors gave equal values, they would offset each other. To make it still work if an object ...

@Undo upvotey for GIFs ^ (Just kidding :-))

@Undo No historical lock. :(
