Plaster on Gypsum lath is absurdly evil to demolish. Especially with the wire mesh corner beads on both inner and outer corners.

I HATE WIRE MESH CORNER BEADS

its easier to cut out that patch of ceiling and just pull all the mesh down than to cut it

but if you're on the top floor wiht loose insulation...

I was thinking of renting one of those electrical supply trucks you see at movie shoots and running 10000 v through it to vapourize it.

I've been up in the attic and shovelled all the loose fill away from my working area. but it's still a pain.

The main problem is I need to leave the wall up until the beam is installed.

So I can't go nuts on the studs and cut them away.

One bit of framing. 3 Green Robertson, 2 Red, 4 slot and 5 Phillips.

So I saved them in a jar, so I can use them all on my next project as a departing FU to whomever ends up buying my home.
