Last night was the best game I've played in ages

I had to rescue the other PCs from jail as a paladin

and I did so with finesse

@Polyducks it isn't morning here, but I appreciate the sentiment

Loads of stepping behind doors/corners and dragging guards into shadows and dispatching them. The first attack was something like 17 damage!

That was the entirety of the creature's hp

Then I had them organised in a party formation with each of them given roles like scout, rear defender etc

I had one of them cleaning up blood as we went to keep our detection to a minimum

then we were right at the exit and a guard was coming, so I waited then grappled him from around a corner

sword to the back, then we had to run run run

I even used Thaumaturgy to trick the guard into thinking we were other dwarves on patrol. Which didn't work because we didn't respond in underdark...

The roleplay was really solid too. Great party interactions.

It felt good, because this DM is notorious for TPKs, which is no fun

So I spent a great amount of time in mental battle pre-empting what could turn against us

TL;DR was pretty dank

As it's apparently Star Wars Day, a reminder that Fate Accelerated Edition makes a fantastic pick-up-and-play Star Wars RPG. Just sayin'.
